Says script is undefined, allmost on everything i try to open. There are some things that what i thought was going to let me open, and even took me to where u can download it to get it opened. But when i hit download from current location what it does is just keeps bring me back to the download, and asking me would i like to download it from the current location. I can't seem to to get no where. I a'm feeling like i a'm going to loose it. I have to find out, i just have to, before i can get some peace of mind. Please can someone help me? ps.... I know how to go into the propities and histroy but that is about it, outher than going into files and folders which i have done, and seen things that i put in the subject line what i a'm looking for, but same old stuff can't get it opened. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />

...45,

Let's start with the 20 questions. I'll ask a few and others will chime in with the rest.

1) What version of Windows are you running. When the computer boots, does it say Windows98, WindowsNT, Windows2000, WindowsME, WindowsXP?

2) When you say "in my H's documents", what exactly do you mean? Describe how you got to that list of "documents". Do you click on <start> and then <Documents> on menu that pops up?

3) If there is a list of Documents, what is in the list - Exactly? Do you see some names like

Fish head soup.rcp
myfavoritegirls.doc
budget.xls
overtime.xls

?

It's hard for us to help you unless you are very specific about what you are seeing and what you are doing.

I'm not for sure how you viewed the documents so I am going to start from the very beginning, this should be the same on all windows operating systems.

on your Start Bar, point your mouse to "Start", right click and select "Explore"
This will open up Windows Explorer.

Go to whatever location you found these files, when you see the particular file you were looking at, select it with your mouse and left-click once to highlight it (don't double click and open it).

Once the file is highlighted, then right-click once with your mouse, a pop up menu should appear.

Single left-click on Properties.

from here you will see the file extension, depending on your operating system it may also tell you what type of application will open it up. when the file was created, etc.
