And not what with what you would expect, I guess!!!
Kids, I know you got to love them because you gave birth to them, but oh can they be stupid when it comes to some things!!!! And I guess I am just tired of dealing with it all alone, it has been this way for 21 years, so I am use to it, still don't like it though!!! Specially wheen I am made out to be the bad guy, and I am just doing what is best for them!!!
I guess if I wasn't so mad and hurting so much, I might find it all ironic some in way, that this would happen right after signing the papers. 3 years ago, I was feeling much the same way while STBXH was in Korea, and I e mailed with something about being tired of doing the parenting alone and why should I have to do it where the AF told me too, this is when STBXH came back with I wanted to talk to you about this, I think I want a divorce!!!
Needless to say I had some words with OD this morning and then again this evening, didn't realize that she was still mad about not getting to move with her father last year when she got pissed at me for making her follow the rules. But then I remember this summer her not even being able to stay there for 10 days when she was scheduled for 18 days.
Told her that she could go ahead and move there when she is done with school in January, she angrily stated great now you tell me!! Never did I say anything about her living or not living with her dad except last year when she was chosing to do it for the wrong reasons. If I would have allowed her to move then she would have been bouncing back and forth between the two places. Her dad told her No when she asked him, said that she needed to stay with me!!!! I would so rather her move to dad's then to VA with the BF.
I have tried for 4 days to contact OW and things are stopping that from happening, thought that I need that for closure, guess I don't!!
I am so mad still!!! I want to eat any thing and every thing and I can't even do that any more for comfort!!!!!
Oh well it was a pretty nice day for the most part, got to spend the day with both girls and the evening my son joined us!!! Took pictures for my OD as she is a senior and they wanted between $400-700 for pics and I can't afford that, so spent close to $30 and have some assume pictures of her, she even smiled for some of them!!!
Thanks for letting me vent!!! It was better then raiding the fridge!!!!

The teen years are the toughest, Dawn...
Just be consistent... one day she will realize that you are only human... that you did your best and that is all she can expect.
Teens ALWAYS think they know more... that they would do better... that their parents should be perfect...
Hugs... I probably won't be around much this week and next. We signed papers today and should get the keys tomorrow or the next day. I can't believe I am moving into a brand new house...
I guess I am experience a little anxiety over it... hence why I am up at 1:30 a.m.
take care...
Cali

Thank you Cali!!! I know all the things that you said, you just get so mad sometimes, when you are the only one dealing with it. Dad supports finacially, is very good with that, I just wish that he had to do the day to day, he only gets it second hand and only after he has talked with her first, she is very good at spinning it her way!!!
Gods Blessings on the house, how fun for you to get to start with a bla nk slate and make it what you and H want for it to be. It will keep you very busy!!! You will have to take some pictures to post!!! Remember get rid of the white walls, it's cheap, people will be looking at the walls and not that you don't have new furniture right away!!!
Have a great week!!!!

Hi Dawn, Just got back and saw your post. Just wanted to let you know that I know just how you feel!! when my daughter lived with me, she would be loving and kind one minute and the next, she would be going for the jugular! Now she is living with my husband and now he is going nuts! (and so is Julie, which makes it all worth while!!LOL) I still don't like the idea of her living there because of their volatile realtionship, but Val is 21 and she is making Julie miserable...there is a positive side to everything!
Hang in there Dawn. I know how hard it is and how hurtful they can be. You are in my prayers. and remember IT WILL GET BETTER!

bh, I thought of you last night so many times as I was going thru the anger and the hurt and wondering how are you making it knowing that Val is living with them, I finally felt the pain that you must go thru everyday!!!!
Oh, if there was one kid to send to live with the OW it would be this one, she would/will drive the woman crazy and have a blast doing it!!! As I stated I would so much rather her live with her dad then moving back to VA with the BF.
She did apologize and thanked me for everything yesterday before going to bed. She has been so much better with the I love you's and giving hugs and such latley, that last night just really blew my mind, am not sure how we even got to the point that we were at!!!
I read your thread about the wake, I am so very proud of you!!! We all knew you could do it!!!! You mentioned a while back that you had been looking for work and then that you had found something, don't remember what it was that you had found tho?
Lor, What do you mean, "Trouble doesn't stop with just one thing...."

Dawn, I didn't mean anything awful, just that when a marriage is failing, it doesn't stop the rest of the usual problems--kids, the house falling apart, cars not starting, jobs uncertain, health concerns....
Doesn't seem fair sometimes, but there it is .

Hi Dawn, Well, to say it hasn't been easy to let my daughter live with them, would be the understatement of the century! It is one of the hardest things to deal with, but in the midst of all the heartache, there is a glimmer of twisted justice! She does love to cause problems between them! I keep reminding myself of that and it does seem to help. I wish she could live here but, as you said, living with them is the next best choice. although, she is 21 and should be out on her own anyway, but we won't go there! LOL!
The wake was very difficult for all of us. It was bad enough having an aunt who everyone thought of as a grandmother and great- grandmother, but having Julie show up with my H was just too much. My youngest daughter broke down when Julie left and told me that having us both there was the most horrible situation she has ever been in. My heart broke for her.
My job lasted three days! A personal record for me! I have been working for so many years, either at a company or at my home (I owned my own transcription company for a few years) and never have I been made to feel so incompetent! It was horrible! I have enough stress and my self-esteem can't take much more, so I said.. take this job and shove it..I ain't workin here no more!! (not really, but it would have felt good to say that!!)
Dawn, I hope you and your daughter will be OK and she ends up staying put. The only bright side of her moving w/ her dad is the "friction" she can cause between your H and OW. Friction is the word my H used to describe what is going on between Val, Julie and H. Isn't that just so sad!! LOL!
