Just wanted to jump in here and wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN Hope all you parents have a great time going out trick-or-treating with the little and not-so-little ones.
Its going to be cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey over here, but were bundling up and heading out, gotta do it for all that free candy.
Take care all.

LHS --- You must be in the Denver area. It is SO cold. I shoveled a foot of snow off my back entry in Boulder. I hope all the kids here dress as a mummy or some outfit that requires full body coverage. It's COLD. I think that means we should all eat more chocolate to build up a fat layer.
Happy Halloween.

Hi lhs - how's this for a fright? (I swear I am not making this up):
My son carved two pumpkins. The first was an "alien" and the second was the grim reaper.

Unsureheart- Can you believe this, almost 60 on Monday and then we havent gotten above 35 since then. That commute on Tuesday was a nightmare. Could be worse though, today is the 5 year anniv. of the blizzard of '97, remember that one, we had 3' of snow and 6' drifts at the house.
WAT- great pumpkin ideas. Last year son had me make '+' eyes, cut off the entire top of the pumpkin and then lay it on its side with the guts hanging out on the porch. I just love Halloween, gives us big kids a chance to go out and have some fun as well. I was actually going to dress up this year but ran out of time.

Really bundle up tonight. They are predicting another 3-5 starting at the drive home tonight in Denver.
Tuesday's drive was horrible! It normally takes me 20-25 minutes but it took me 1.5 hours! I also got rear ended.
Happy Halloween all!!

All you Denver dwellers, its official. Last night was the coldest Halloween on record! And it was COLD! Talked to a lady who just moved here from Houston, she wasnt all to happy about being out in the cold (imagine!)
Had a great time though, kids were so bundled up that you couldnt tell what they were, except for D-2, she borrowed her grandpas Navy suit, official WWII, 100% wool issue, only needed a pair of gloves. And what a haul they made, hade to come back half-way through the neighborhood to empty thier sacks because they were getting too heavy.
Hope everyone had a good time last night, especially if you 'got a little in the sack' like TooMuchCoffeeMan posted. But if you didnt, thats what all that chocolate is for!

Hi Colorado folks. It was da#n cold last night and we got ANOTHER 6 inches up in Boulder. All the kids were really bundled up and in addition to candy, I offered hot chocolate to my neighbors and their kids, but most wanted to get the outdoor fun over with fast (at least the parents).
It was beautiful, but shoveling it is no fun.
