My husband had a five month affair which ended in April. I found out about it after the OW forwarded an email to her from my husband a couple weeks later. My husband and I have been working it out since then, as we have a young child. We bought a new house together and he promised never to see her again. Recently I found out from a coworker of his that she was back working at his job (which he just lost) since shortly after the end of the affair. I did some snooping and found out that they have been keeping in contact as friends (?!) since the end of the affair. He promised never to see her again? But from the emails, it really does seem like they have not continued any sort of sexual relationship. So my question is, do I confront him with this? Or just let it die out? I feel like him seeing her and writing her is his way of rebelling against me for making him take all the blame, for being angry all the time, but no sex....??? I don't understand.

Jessy, It seems to me that the PA has ended, but the EA is still ongoing. An emotional attachment is just as devistating to a marriage as a physical affair. Besides, your WH has already had intimate relations with this woman. What do you think will happen if he starts feeling a close emotional connection? The same thing that happened before.
So IMHO, I would talk to him about the ongoing contact. I don't know if I would "confront", you don't want to LB! Tell him that you fear he could make a bad decision again and that you feel he has been untruthful with you. Explain why you feel NO contact is a must, and that you want your marriage to succeed. Work out a plan together, and stick to it. Good luck!
