Romantic???? What's that? I haven't been romanced in years! I would feel special if my wife did anything nice that was initiated on her own.

Jetes.. I don't know your story.. but does your wife know what YOU think is romantic??
I know as a woman, I'm at a loss. My H appreciates flowers.. but it certainly doesn't make him Melt... I don't know what does.
A couple wkends ago, I put on jeans, a sweatshirt, baseball cap, hiking boots,... grabbed my little chainsaw that I borrowed from my mom (cuz I can't handle the big one) and went out to the 'back 40' on a mission to take out all those little trees that were blocking my sunlight! And guess what?? My H was totally turned on,,he thought it was so cute and charming. Now... what the hell is that??? He said he got butterflies in his stomach he was so full of love for me and my 'determination' and 'fiestiness'. I am at a TOTAL loss as to what turns him on... Do I need to chop down trees every day??? Become Paula Bunyon?? That's why I'm starting this thread... Help somebody!!
WHAT DO YOU GUYS WANT???? I'll do anything ! (well , within reason.. hehee <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> )
Baby..

My story is too long and too complicated. Bottom line with me though is my wife doesn't really care what is romantic to me. Now back to your thread.
I think its similar to the way men need to find out what is romantic for women. Just try new things. Think of creative things to do and then communicate. Then you can find out if he likes it or not.
What I said about what is romantic for me is true though. Any gesture of love that is from her heart.

BB -- Wow, what a thought provoker. What's romantic to men? Me in particular?
Hmm... I remember one night long ago my wife had been out with the girls and came home a bit, uh, tipsy. She turned on the radio and jumped on the bed and started dancing this real sexy dance. She was wearing really sexy clothes, etc. Very much a turn on.
Umm... A call telling me in discreet fashion what I'll be getting later that night is always something that revves the engine.
Oh, romantic, right... Uh.. Showing love in unconventional ways, like a compliment here and there or notes, that kind of thing. Hugs and kisses for no reason. Went shopping not too long ago. In parking lot, she kisses me long and slow. Very romantic.
Of course, I think the EveryMan fantasy is you, nude, bringing him a beer during the big game and you dutifully and passionately perform certain, uh, acts while he continues to watch the third down conversion.
But that's just a fantasy! lol... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I actually did that once! hehe.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Okay (sharpening my pencil)
1) sexy clothes, sexy dancing 2) discreetly letting man know what's waiting for him 3) umm.. *you know* nude, man w/beer in hand watching football
Keep 'em coming guys!

Baby Blue,
I just love saying this: You women just don't get it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
Look at what turned your H on, look carefully. The way you dressed: casual. The pony tail: girl next door. You are out doing something physical, not buffing the nails. Jeans may accentuate a good part of your anatomy.
Getting any clues? Could be what turns him on is YOU. Just as you are. I could get a bit more explicit, but the point is you doing things and just being you does turn him on.
Now, the other suggestions really work. Doing something like kissing him, giving him a hug (just because) most men really respond to physical contact. I could be you just looking in his eyes gets to him.
Women don't understand men find beauty in women in so many ways. BUT... the women tend to down play it or hide it. We fixate on physical things. Yes the obvious and well known ones: breasts, tush, etc. But it can be hands, the shape of the neck, feet, legs, those dimples in the back where the hips form, smell, the color of the eyes, hair. It could be the bulky sweat shirt where it isn't obvious if something is underneath it or not. It could be a panty line OR no panty line.
Do you get the idea? Men notice all sorts of things about women. Far more than women realize, but we may not be able to tell you what color dress you wore last week. We see shape, form, motion and many things. And we never tell: it is in our union contract. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
If women only knew or more precisely believed us. We don't worry about weight nearly as much as we do grooming. We can be turned on by so many things, if a woman has the right attitude.
I have a question for you. How did you find out that your H was turned on by you in the jeans, sweet shirt, and pony tail? He told you didn't he. Did you give him, the "you've got to be kidding" look? Or did you smile and thank him?
If you become aware enough of him to notice when he is aware of you: THAT IS ROMANTIC. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Are you confused yet? It really is so simple, but it is hard to define because what we see and sense is pretty ephemeral with regard to women.
What is romantic? A woman that wants to be with us, accepts us, and even looks up to us.
By the way round is good. If you think about it we are attracted to most parts of women that are round. Isn't that strange. Have no idea why.
Must go. I hope this has given you food for thought.

Ding ding ding ding! And the Grand Prize goes to ... Just Learning for hitting the nail squarely on the head! Seriously, I agree completely with JL, especially about form and movement and grooming. George Harrison wrote a song about it, "Something in the Way She Moves." And we are far more sensual that we get credit for ... I've always told my wife that my favorite organ is her skin. (Of all the fun things to play with on her body nothing gets to me like massaging HER.) So those times you don't shave your legs in the winter because "you don't have to" ... stop that. We notice that and we appreciate when you do. Freshly shaven legs are hot ... it's the feel, most certainly. But it's also the smell of the lotion, too.
It's also worth mentioning that the physical stuff is good, too. That chopping down the tress scenario is a great example. You'd also probably be surprised to learn how many men get turned on by the smell of a woman's sweat. It's quite primal ... so we really understand that.
Hope what get from this is good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> .

LOL Whippit.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> I must admit I'm guilty of the not shaving legs in the winter cause I don't have to.. Now don't get me wrong.. I still shave.. but not as much a summertime. Okay ,, I will do better!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
But the "smell of womens sweat" really??? I know it's primal for a woman to see a sweaty man .. *sigh*. But guess I thought guys liked to see us "buffing our nails".. you know - looking and smelling pretty at all times * shrug *
Thanks! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Weird thing happened the other day....
I was in conflict resolution mode with the teen who usually tries to pressure me and wear me down ... I was unusually tough-stanced (not mean, but really REALLY firm) and I strongly pressed the point that MY WAY was how this thing was going to play out, and that was that.
After ... in private, H says to me that seeing me get all tough like that "Is a major turn on. I like you when you're spicy" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Now THAT threw me.
