I found out about a six-month physical affair (it was an emotional affair for almost twice that long) that my wife had with someone from out-of-state. So they weren't together all that often, but the emotional part was very intense, in that they talked many times during each day. She was not forthcoming at all during my discovery of the affair, and very manipulative during the affair. I asked her to leave, and we've been apart for 5 weeks now. She's VERY impatient to get back in the house, but I'm still reeling and very emotional. When does this stop? Is separation more hurtful than helpful to reconciliation? Please advise!!

I asked a similar question here ...we may want to watch both threads for answers.
