I was just wondering if anyone who caught their WS in their own bed sold it? Or what did you do about it? I found out my WH did it in our MINIVAN!!! I want to trade it in but I actually really love that van. It's been a great one - no repairs are ever needed. It ticks me off that I can't stand to be in it now!!!
Just wondering.

Dazedblonde! That's a tough one about the van. I do know this. If mine had brought OW into my house and bed, I would not sell bed, I would sell my house and he knows it! Thankfully, it all took place states away! Have you considered having hubby get the Van reholstered? If you love it, then you're only punishing yourself by selling it. I do know about the triggers of being around anything that reminds you. Mine even goes to songs, seeing even the city and state on weather channel, just so many triggers. After having a grand time in Florida at fancy hotels, etc, he had the audacity to pick me up a sea shell and bring to me. Ha. I buried that sucker in my back yard! Great gift huh? Well, just a thought about redoing the Van, but if it keeps on bothering you badly, sell the sucker and make him buy you another one. God bless, LouLou

My wife has our bed in the apartment we moved her into when we separated in August. If things work out and we rconcile, that bed is not coming home. No selling it either.

there will be a burning on my front lawn!!!

I refused to sleep in our bed until the new one was delivered and the old one taken away. It's almost like having a 'safe haven' violated. I still think it's disgusting/dirty/gross that OW was in our home and in our bed. I don't regret the decision to get rid of the old bed at all. I also replaced the head board, box spring, bought new sheets, pillows, mattress cover, duvet cover, shams and duvet!

Well, I sold the entire bedroom suite...but not because I caught my husband with OW in our bedroom. I personally brought OM here (does that count?). What WAS I thinking????

When I came to my senses, I sold the car I drove him here in, the bedroom suite, den furniture, and totally redid the entire house, paint, wood floors, decorating etc...(At one time we put the house up for sale, but decided we could not do it. We raised our son here and the house is actually perfect)

Basically I had been in a state of depression for years, and was exhausted from living the lie and trying to keep all my secrets. It was too much to focus my attention on the upkeep of the house.

After I came to my senses, the first thing I did was start "new"....New surroundings and everything different. Got rid of all the reminders.

Not to mention 2 years of IC and MC.

My advice: Do whatever or get rid of whatever you need to do to help you heal.
