I posted this in just found out--i know there's usually more people here and I really need some input on this--
I think I have pretty much shut down emotionally. I know how I really feel, i just don't feel it. I feel a little sad but other than that i just feel numb. I told him that maybe it really is over with us. I just don't know anymore. I'm just not feeling anything--anger, love, nothing-- and this has never happened to me before. Is this normal?

That's the way I started to feel when I went to Plan B. I'd had the life sucked out of me and I was becoming numb. That was when I knew I was ready to go no contact and let him make the next move.

Dear Lost:
I have learned sooo much from these people and this website. The number one thing I have learned is that EVERYTHING you are feeling is NORMAL. No matter what it is.

Everything your WS tells you, is normal (meaning: that's what all WS say).

Maybe what you are going through is shock - or depression. Should you see a doctor about it? I know a lot of advice on here points that antidepression meds make you feel better. I hope you are feeling better soon but you just found out about this and you need time to process it all. You are NORMAL!!!

Yes... very normal...

It is shock. Your body and mind are worn out and need a rest. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Do some self focus.

Don't think, talk or do anything about the affair for this whole weekend.

Don't think, talk or do anything about your relationship this whole weekend.

FOCUS ON YOU. Bubble bath. Pedicure. Manicure. Haircut. Hair color. Buy a new outfit. Do something YOU LIKE TO DO just for YOU.

Let your body and mind rest.

Hugs,
Cali

thanks y'all. I guess I've been so emotional, up and down lately something had to give sometime. actually think i prefer this to the way i was feeling, even tho this probably isn't really a good state to be in, it is a lot more calm.
