Some of you know the story, my W wanted to sell the house, but after 3 months of doing nothing about it, she tells me last weekend she wants me to sign a quit claim deed so she can buy me out.

Well, I stopped at the house today to drop off a check, and she's packing some boxes with videos. I ask her what she's doing, and she says packing so she can sell the house. I said I thought you were going to buy me out. She said she'd changed her mind. I asked if she was planning on discussing this with me and she didn't respond. Our daughter was there, so it wasn't a good time to talk about it. She told me she'd bought some things for our daughter for xmas and would call me over the weekend to discuss it.

I'm not surprised by this latest turn of events. Maybe she talked about buying the house from me with her folks over Thanksgiving and they helped her see it wasn't a good idea. I am surprised that she didn't even tell me she changed her mind, but I guess I really shouldn't be. She's obviously scrambling and not sure what to do. You'd think after 2 years, she'd have had plenty of time to come up with a plan for her future, and our daughter's for that matter. Not much I can do but sit back and watch as her latest plan unravels, while I remain steady as a rock.

Well, it's probly for the best. Let her get her act together...and just be there for your daughter.

h4f,

You're right, it's just frustrating. I'm almost at the point of just telling her let's get this all over with.

I was thinking, since my W's idea to buy the house from me was "the best thing for our daughter", now that she's decided it's not financially feasible, maybe I should buy it from HER! I really wouldn't do it, but it might be fun to see her reaction. I know, I'm bad.
