Thanks for bringing it up.. I have noticed it before.. while out searching for answers to infidelity.. would be interested in going to a support group if there was one.... in my area.

I have been going to divorcecare... a christian perspective on divorce encouraging reconciliation, even in the case of affairs.. and I LOVE IT... go to www.divorcecare.com

Hugs, let me know what is out there... can't wait to see if anyone has been to a group?

luki,

There is not a Ban group in my area but I have read everything on the Dear Peggy website, and their books. I even did a consultation with her before finding MB. I respect them and have helped me a lot.

I liked the idea of a website for support (MB) cuz I knew I needed a lot of help! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Luki, I found BAN a few days after d-day, before I found MB. I have to say it helped get me though some of the hardest days I ever had to face. I was lucky because there was a BAN group close to me and when I e-mailed for information I not only got info that helped me but met a women who saved my life. She understood just what I was feeling and going though and knew what I was up against and was there for me 24/7, whenever I needed someone to lean on. She was an angel set to me by God and to this day I still thank Him every day for sending her to me.

Hmmm not a lot of replies to this one. I will run this one down for everyone. Right now with XMas coming up I need more support. Plus, I need to get some more input about "moving" back whether she wants it or not. Stay tuned....

Luki,

If you have a Ban group in your area, go for it. If there is not one near you, alanon offers great support. Many there have gone thru the same thing and it's a safe place to share. Just about everyone these days has a friend or family member who is affected by alcohol.

Hi!

I think you are right. I think we are all going to need a lot of extra support through the holidays. For anyone who is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there is now a BAN group available to us. I encourage you all to check out the website and see what BAN is all about:

I finally got to a BAN meeting last night. There were only 5 of us but I found it to be very enlightening. It's a new group so we are still just going over each others stories and getting input. We also discussed books on As. If you have a chapter near you I highly recommend going.

I have talked to alot of friends and family but never to other BSs in person.

Luki, I was just wondering about you this morning. How's it going?

What did you book discussion include? What books? Any ones we haven't heard of?

DB, The only book you may not have heard of was "Sexual Detours". I don't know anything about it. I think I am going to get "so and so's"(I don't remember her name) divorce busting book. All the books I have are written by guys. I need a womans perspective.

I am reading "Private Lies" right now. I recommend that book based on what I have read so far.

I will post an update in other thread I have going later.

I hope it is going well for you. I'm not sure how I would react if I ran into the OP. Sounds like you have handled it very well so far.
