So how are the parties going? I know many of you were dreading attending parties with the OP present. Here's how mine went:

We arrived and sat down in a booth where she was in plain view, but we were not in her line of sight. Then one of H's coworkers invited us to sit at another table so we did. Within 5 minutes, she had moved to a table behind us. Seemed to suit H, because he didn't have to look at her that way. However, I wasn't crazy about her being able to watch us uninhibited throughout the night. Fortunately the party was fairly brief, and many people made their way over to speak to me as my mother just passed away last week. H only left my side to pay the tab, then quickly returned. As we departed, she was standing near the door, and I truly feared she might console me about my mother. We just kept our back to her and spoke to people standing along the other side of the doorway as we departed. SHEW! Everything went off without a hitch. No confrontations, she never even looked us in the eye. Sure made it easier on me for her to be avoiding me as much as I was avoiding her!! I asked H upon departure if there was any reason I should have been embarrassed for at the party (anything that might be still going on). He said absolutely not, and he teared up as he said he felt terrible still about me having to be embarrassed at last years party. (The A was just beginning then). All in all, a successful night.

Now ... If we could just get her that transfer!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
