Next week is our 1st (and maybe last) anniversary. I really don't see the point of celebrating it, but H wants to. We have been getting along, for the most part. Today and yesterday we argued some. We have actually discussed trying to work things out a couple times, but he isn't sure about what he wants.

For anybody else out there who has had to deal with similar circumstances, how did you handle this? Do you think it's better to celebrate or not?

lostbuthopeful,

I don't know your story but I still wann give my opinion. As your name says:" Lost but Hopefull"
As a BS, I'd just like to tell you that I too felt this way. I was for sure lost and still very hopeful.

Shortly after our d-d it was my H birthday. Gosh, I remember how confused I was, I honestly didn't know what to do.
But you know what I did??? I organized a surprise birthday party for my H. Nothing expensive . Nothing very dramatic. But it turned out to be the best birthday he ever had!!!!

I just called up a few friends and told them that we would meet someplace and the time. I got some food organized and made sure that there would be some good music. CD's with alot of our favorite songs.

My H was overwhelmed!!!!!! It was a great evening. We had an absolutely fantastic and fun time with each other. We were not dealing with problems or things like that. We were just having fun pure!!!
When I think back, this was the best thing that I could of done. He was happy and he was getting the best side of "ME".
I think it's important that you know what you want and to go for it!!!

If you want your marriage to work, then stick with your Plan A and give it to him until he finds out what he wants.

Give him reasons to be happy and feel good about you and himself.

hope this might help you abit.

hugs
bb
PS: Just wanted to mention that just a few weeks after my H birthday, it was my 40th birthday.
I really wasn't in the mood to celebrate. This time my H really knew what he wanted. His present for me was: A two week trip to the Caribic!!!!!
We both still love to think about these kinda days. It simply brings back good memories!!!
