Time to take that money and use it as a down payment on a hybrid or two.

What is the real average cost? 2.99, if so, OUCH!!!!!!

Oaktown--that's what you get for your town going to the Superbowl .

Black Hills (northern midwest)--$1.39- $1.44. And we're about 80 miles from the oil fields, gas gets cheaper 100 miles farther away from here and the refineries!

Oops!
You mean "date" as in time frame, not going out on a date... musta been the thing about "pumping" and "dating."

Montgomery Co. Maryland (home of Chief Moose), I paid $1.84 yesterday, but that's for premium that my Subaru demands. (I didn't want anybody to think I'm driving something "sexy", seeing as Ark has already brought sex into this thread.)

Right across the Potomac in Virginia it's cheaper, not not cheap enough to justify burning a few gallons on the beltway to get there. It might be cheaper or more expensive in D.C., but who wants to find out?

I bet you Brits and OZs are giggling at us.

MPLS/St.paul MN area - 1.32-1.46. I know where to go for the cheaper gas. The ones closest to my home raise gas prices, the ones on my way to work do not. Past my work higher again.

A few days later the ones near home drop down. By then, I've filled up

When my H first entered the military, my first good friend was from Arkansas. We went out together and I stopped to put gas in my car. (California girl that I was!) She looked horrified and exclaimed: "Oh my, ladies don't pump gas! I still think of her every time I fill up my tank. You did not date yourself, I live in the south now and most women don't fill up their own tanks...

$1.39 at the cheapest station for regular in NJ .

Hey ark....no one in NJ pumps gas....does that make us ALL real women?

My husband might be a bit upset about that!

Joisey?

What exit??

Don't let Rosie zoom you, it's some deal with labor unions that there's no self serve in Joisey. You also gotta take yer own bottle to the restaurants. And when you want to go to the beach, ya gotta go to the "shore." This is so no one will confuse one of those places with a REAL beach.

OK, Rosie, yer up next.

I asked my 16 year old son how much gas cost today, and he said " the gas is free, it's the beans that cost money."

When I lived in the south, I pumped my own gas. There was no one around to do it for me. (TX.

Right now, our temps are going below zero, so I sure would not mind if some nice, young, strong feller would pump my gas for me
