Myself, I live in the city of the team that is going to win, which of course everyone knows is Tampa. Allright, let me have have Oakland Fans!!

Hey I've got to route for Oakland. I don't care for them much either but Tampa I can't stand. I have to admit a lot of that has to do with how tough they always play my team (rams fan)but I can't help it. Good luck to you today, nothing like your team making it to the big game. To change the subject for a moment, I was reading your responses to ladykimberly about going to the superbowl party. I was wondering if you told your mutual friends about your wife's A like you recommended and what kind of effect it had. I was thinking that the extra pressure could help speed things along. There is a wide difference of opinion on this topic and I have so far refrained from telling most people exactly what's going on. This is only because I know it's a big LB and I wonder if I'm wanting to do it more as payback than anything ekse.

Hiya Starman, actually I love it when the Rams and the Bucs play. It's always a great game, no matter what the teams records are. I remember one game during the days when we were known as the Tampa Bay Yucks, we were playing the Rams at home (then they were still in LA) and we were winning 28-0 at the half. Rams came back to win 31-28. The Rams had a tough time this year, mostly injuries I think, but they have a great team still. Kurt Warner is one of the best without a doubt.

BTW, for your other Q's I'd love to tell you anything you'd like to know. It's a long story though so maybe we should start another thread. You can e-mail me also

Heck I don't care who wins. I'm still sad that Pittsburgh got beat in over time by Tennessee and knocked me out of my trip to San Diego lol!

May the best team win!

Don't worry, we will. Actually Orchid, I have to be honost. I've always been a closet Raider fan . I was born in Milwaukee, moved to Tampa when I was 9. Though I've always rooted for the Bucs, 14 years of double digit losing seasons can make you wanna root for another team with say, a better track record... Tony Dungy changed that, and Jon Gruden made them better. So now, while I've always rooted for them to win, they have us believing they actually can win now. It looks to be a great game, no.1 defense vs no.1 offense. Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice have ways of making QB's do things they don't wanna do, but then again, Rich Gannon has a way of making defenses look rather silly doesn't he? I can't wait for this. For once I'll be watching the super bowl for something other than the cool commercials!!!! So I can say even if the Bucs lose I won't be too upset. Like I said, I've always liked the Raiders and the Bucs have made thier fans proud just getting this far. It only took 27 years LOL!!!

U R a good sport MTD and the ability to have different preferences is a good thing...... keeps life interesting.

Just as long as those choices don't cross over into areas important to our lives as our families (like when the WS want to have partner choices AFTER making a commitment or other foggy irrational stuff).

Well since Oaktown posted, you'd better watch out. LOL! Some of those stout hearted Raider's fans have a bit of a temper..... they are quite loyal to that team in an extreme but fun way. (that's why extra police forces are on duty !!).

Isn't this the first game where the fans are told not to dress up in their traditional Raider's wild costumes?!?!? Or at least tone it down a bit?!?!?!

BTW, oaktown. Way to be a good sport. I'm actually a little disapointed, I was hoping for a closer game. Not that disapointed though

Congratulations madly! What a blowout. I was hoping for a good game too but it doesn't happen too often in the super bowl. When the Rams played I always hoped it would get ugly in a hurry because my nerves could barely take it. It's an awesome moment, especially when you wait for sooo long to see it happen.

Hello all on this OT.

I live in Tampa, work in St Pete and have been a Raiders fan for 30 years.

I recently moved to Tampa and this is the first time that I lived in a town with a team. I want to say that I am disappointed by the fans here, the fans in Oakland and people in general.

The night that Oakland defeated Tennessee, there were riots in Oakland. The day that the Bucs beat Philly was much more subdued here.

The week leading up to the SB, I wore my Raiders jacket to work everywhere and people often were exceptionally rude. However, I can fault only a small percentage of Tampa fans; for the most part, they have been a decent lot. The Raiders fans, on the other hand, are not. As I explained to someone here..had I been a Bucs fan and worn a Bucs jacket in Oakland, you would likely get killed.

After the Raiders were soundly beaten in the SB, there were additional riots in Oakland.

What is wrong with people? Do the Raiders somehow draw this type of fan?

It is a football game. I heard so many comments that are tantamount to poor sportsmanship and bragging (from fans, mind you, not players). It isn't as though the fans actually do anything; all you do is watch the game, right? What room does that leave for bragging?

I am a Raiders fan. Always have been and always will be. I am not disappointed by the team's performance. They did their best, but clearly the Bucs were ready to win and the Raiders were not. You can't take away from the Bucs. I am just disappointed by the actions of fans on both sides for the amount of trash talking and acting as though this were more than a GAME. I am most disappointed by the Raiders fans, though.

H & I are Rams fans, we were at the Rams-Bucs Monday night football game this year...so I was pretty divided yesterday:

If Oakland had won--the Rams beat them this year, always nice to know your team has beaten the superbowl champs.

If the Bucs won--I'd seen them play and, dang it, they must actually be good . They were mean to Kurt Warner, some nasty Sapp sacks.

Our Buc's friend made us wear Tampa colors at his Superbowl party. But, he had worn a Rams jersey for us at our house during the last Rams-9er game.

I'm going to miss football 'til next fall.

Well MTD congratulations to you and the 2003 Super Bowl Winners the Tampa Bucs are certainly in order.

At least the commercials were fun to watch. Must say the game was a bit sad. I resorted to cleaning the house instead of watching the entire game. LOL!!!

Since I won't be going out to dinner tonight over here, I was thinking about Bern's steakhouse in Tampa. Do they still have their menu chained to the wall?!?!? LOL!

We'll just have the left overs from last night, which really isn't a bad thing.

I don't condone all the violent acts by those Raider's fans. Not all are like that but it only takes a few to really leave a bad impression. Really doesn't make the Bay Area look good.

Bucs played good and hard. They had a definite advantage and used it well.

Jut wanted to say thanks to everyone for being such good sports. I wish it had been closer, like I said I've always been a Raider fan too. Started during those 14 consecutive double digit losing seasons.
Yup, 27 years in the making. Hehe, the Bucs and I were born the same year, wonder if that means good things for me this year .
