You have 2 choices that I know of:
1. Call the number and see who answers.
2. If you know the pager company they may tell you who owns the number.

You could go to a friend's house (a friend your W does not know), who has caller ID, and call the number. Then the person who owns the pager will hopefully return the call from either their home, or their office, either which number will show on the caller ID. Or, if you have "Star 69" available, you could try that. Whatever you do, do not call the number from anywhere that can lead back to you.
As I said, technology is on your side. There are all kinds of gadgets and things you can have added to your phone service that could help you. I know in my area, you can get automatic call return and redial. After your W has been home alone. You can set it up that you can recall the last number she dialed without her knowing. Another thing you could do is install a caller ID to your phone line, but put it somewhere your W will not be able to find it. The possibilities really are endless.
And I still think you should still seriously consider following her.

Confused, my question is, do you really want to know who it belongs to? I mean, we both probably know who it belongs to already. You certainly do anyway, or you wouldn't be asking. Is it really important to you to know which particular "who" it is? It could be anybody and it probably wouldn't change anything.

nonplused- right now I do think I need to know. I think she will be leaving shortly. Even thought I won`t do anything with the information I need to know, too many sleeples night trying to figure it out.
Newwomen- She makes her calls from a faxline I had put in so it doesn`t have caller ID. It is billed to her company so I can`t add caller ID. I also don`t have someone elses`s car to borrow. What I need is someone who can find who owns this pager number I found. It could be someone she works with burt I don`t hink so , I thik this is his and I don`t want to call it until I`ve exhausted all my other options. They use codes when they call and if I don`t use the right one I `ll tip my hand. Any more suggestions??.

you got me on that one. I loe investigating. I got my 's gals # from his cell phone ( fool programed it in) The phone was in my name when he left, so I had it reported stolen and they shut it off. I got my phone back since he had to purchase another and relinguish mine. I called her and so did my friend . She called first. All in all I am glad I did. I think I convinced her that my H was a real snake and he is. She sent him back home!!!! We are workin' it out. (drudgingly)

reverse phone sites don`t work with pagers. The cell phone is in her name. If I could ever get my hands on a copy of the bill I`m sure there are the same numbers appearing. But she must be having the bill sent elsewhere. the cell phone company won`t give me any information because it is not in my name.any other suggestions.

Confused58,
You're not going to be able to find out who owns a pager number without calling the number. Pager companies do not give that information out. Sorry, I'm running out of ideas for you. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] It seems that you've already gotten a lot of good ideas, but for some reason or another, you aren't in a position to make it happen. You say you cannot borrow anyone's car, so how about rent ing a car for a day if you have to? (in my area you can rent a car for less than $30/day plus mileage) It would be worth the expense if it will put your mind at ease.

I too couldn't get the cell phone detail because I am not on the account....I had a male friend call. I knew the identifying information (SS#, mother's maiden name, etc.) and I had the he had the detail bill faxed so mailing wasn;t a problem.....just an idea.
I haven't seen a detail in months, so I'm considering doing this again! Just to be sure.
Also, at least with the cell company he uses, the detail only displays outgoing numbers....incoming just says incoming.....if they are smart the OP calls the number, the spouse doesn't call the OP....
Good luck!

called the pager number, they never called back. tried several times. No luck. I wish I could get my hands on the cell phone bill, there has to be lots Of OM numbers on that. I don`t know any female friends well enough to ask them to call the company for me. Any other suggestions. I might just have to follow her for a few evenings.
