If those "bumps" look like blisters or pimple like...you may want to do a search on herpes. Other syspmtoms can be fever, itching.

Start calling some local clinics in your area. The bigger the city/town you're in, the more likely there will be something available. You might be wise to go and see one of their doctors before waiting to see your own obgyn. You can also check in your phone book or yellow pages, and see if there's anything you can use there (even if just a phone consultation).
If you're in Ontario, you can call "telehealth" at 1-866-797-0000 and talk to a registered nurse.

Are you able to use a magnifying mirror to get a good look at the bumps? How many are there? Location? (close to opening, close to where thigh meets pubes, up near top of pubic area?) Are they in an area where you were "bikini waxed" or where you shaved to groom yourself? Sometimes you can get an ingrown hair.
About the discharge: When was your last period? If recently, or if due soon, the discharge might be less liquid because in the middle of our cycles, the lubrication is more copious and clear, slippery. Right after menses and just before menses the quality of lubrication is dryer, sometimes "cheesy."
Any luck on connecting to the sites recommended by redhat?
Definitely get tested for all the stds, including clamydia.
Oh, and if the discharge gets really itchy, and you need to wait a few weeks before seeing a doctor, I know a great home remedy that is really soothing and effective. Let me know if you want me to write you about it.

Agree, with all said here. Another option, is call a health clinic in your area. All hospitals have clinics to get tested. Also, they know where a county clinic is nearby to get tested. Many resources to call, and keep your identity.
I found STD clinic for my husband, since he decided to have sex with another woman. And it was at physical therapy, I go to. Phamplets are pretty much available all over.

Please tell me where exactly the pea-sized bump is.... near the vaginal opening but just slightly off to one side?
Several pea sized ??? Other bumps too?
Be as specific as you can to describe this. I have years of crotch experience. NOT what ya'll think, I am an RNP. [ February 28, 2003, 08:37 PM: Message edited by: Pepperband ]

I understand the fear, I suggest you ck for pictures on the internet to help you compare. If your bump has something in it/ whitish, etc., I would worry from what I have seen and go to the doctor to have it cked, it still could be just from heat or a number of reasons our skin gets irritated.
Many get heat bumps at times.... like a baby does with rash... but you want to be careful- and I did read that little bumps need to be tested by the doc with what is inside of them, so you might need to get in quite soon. I have never been found to have a problem, but I have gotten worried esp. b/c of my h's infidelity, I have tested over and over again.
You can go to planned parenthood if money is an issue I would imagine, or go to a women's clinic if you don't have insurance- if you have ins. all the better! often the women's types of clinics are staffed by nurses or by PA's so they might be cheaper than a visit to a doc.
You are prob. Ok, but do be careful and have it cked. Look on the brighter side. I have imagined things over and over, and luckily I have never had an issue.. hopefully this will be true for you.
Search on google for pics of std's - the internet is quite graphic these days if you are wondering what a certain problem looks like. YOu can even find sites with all sorts of skin conditions- even nonstds... dermatology issues.. etc.
There are many skin conditions caused by stress even, that are not std's- but do be careful and stay concerned, and make sure you get seen soon by a qualified individual just in case.
Hoping it is the imagination and fear getting the best of you and that it will go away and you can stop worrying.
Hugs, H
