For those of you who don't know my story, I'll recap quickly. WH and I had gone on a romantic weekend with another couple, turns out that he was having EA with OW of the other couple. Both BS figured it out over that weekend. Both BS were told the line "I just don't love you anymore, etc...etc".

I moved quick, got on this board, started depositing in the LB, set up MC and started on the road to recovery. WH works with OW, no chance of NC unless one of them quits (WH is close to making that decision) They went together along with 5 others on a business trip last week. I worried, but just kept on my plan.

WH comes home from trip and tells me that OW has told him she doesn't want to see him anymore, she's gone back to her other A, the one she's been having for over a year!! She was using him to bring her OM back into line!!

Now, my WH is acting very strangely. He wants me to be a "trophy wife" for him, dress provacatively out in public, be always stunning and "on" for the crowd. The OM in OW's life also went on this trip and is part of the office crowd. I'm not sure I like playing the trophy wife so that he can get his revenge, but at the same time, it is something he needs right now. I also think it is helping him to get on with out marriage. Right now our M is better than it was 6 month or a year ago, and I want to keep on that track.

PLEASE, tell me what you think!! Most of you have seen something like this before, I'm sure.

Sounds to me like his ego is bruised, since he got dumped.

It hurts to be treated like that I am sure.

BUT, underneath the selfishness of his request, I would be willing to bet that he has a pretty high need for an attractive spouse.

I wouldn't say you are in recovery yet - so consider filling his need for an attractive spouse part of your plan A. It's a fine line to walk though...without becoming part of the dynamic of the affair. Can you get him to talk to the Harleys? Counseling with Steve is my best recommendation - it worked wonders for my marriage.
