I want to pose this question to you all, please keep in mind that my wife and I are Christians and please view this from that perspective.

We belive our relationship was a blessing from God. Something has happened and now she feels like she is in true love with another man. She does love me, but feels the love for him is just different and wants to be with him.

Can a husband/wife truly fall in love with another person?

As a Christian, how can we work though this?

You've come to a good place. MarriageBuilders isn't a Christian site, but there are many Christians who post here. MB is pro-marriage, even very troubled marriages, such as yours has become.

This particular forum deals withh all aspects of infidelity.

Read everything you can on this site. A very good book to get is Dr. Harley's Surviving An Affair.

Phone counseling is also offered through this site, and I'd recommend it for you, even if your wife might not be willing right now.

Many of us here have restored our marriages through using MarriageBuilders principles. My marriage is 3 years into recovery after 2 very bad years.

I am not sure what exactly you mean from a Christian perspective perhaps you could elablorate a little more on that...

just within the last week there was similar post with the exact same question...I believe it was titled Question from a newcomer by Okie73...you should search it and read it...

I will say that on a Christian perspective...vows are sacred...and God does not call us to cross those lines in the name of love...ever

Also humans don't fall in love...persay...it takes the expending of energy, emotion, and time...all those things that belong to a spouses...and when one spouse starts expending energy like that outside of the marriage...it brings no good...as the marriage suffers

You wife is she telling you she is in love with another man..is involved in an emotional affair...and there is nothing God-like about actions of deceit.

Welcome here....you will find a lot of people that have stood where you stand...
and lots of good advice in wading through the denial and emotional chaos.
Search posts by WAT...he has links in signature line that are really helpful

It is also helpful to know exactly what is going on now...and what brought you to this point so that people can help you figure where you are at...and where YOU want to go with your marriage.

peace to you and your home
