Hello MBers.
I want to do some more snooping as I still feel H is in contact with OW. This would happen by his mobile and work. He works for a large government agency so I can't install spyware on his PC and it would be impossible to get near it anyway.I am almost 100% that he doesn't use our home PC because he is hardly ever on it and our study has a glass door so is visible from the hall. He says he can't access his email from home because there is a firewall.
So that leaves me his mobile phone which is again a government phone and so the bills go to the office . How easy would it be for me to get a copy sent to home of his mobile bills? Without alerting him. I have just set up an email address in his name which he is not using yet so I still know the password. Could I email the provider and pretend to be him? What if any info would they require? I feel I will only get one shot at this!
Are there any PI's out there who could advise? I am in the UK
Thanks, Deluded

Hi Deluded, Sounds a bit cloak & dagger.... question: where are you with your WH now? I ask because of the following: if he is back and (again) said that things are over & dont worry and all, then you are in a good position to ask him to provide a copy. You dont really have to ask for it - maybe you ask him: Explain me, what will you do so I can trust you again? If he answers "just trust me" then you have grounds to say - well, what will make it different this time? So, all told, I would rather engage in a dialogue with him to get *him* to prove his innocence, rather than an elaborate PI scheme. Cheers, Nick

Hi Deluded
I think I intend to agree with Nick. This seems quite a lot of effort and thought to try and get to see his mobile bill.
If he has nothing to hide from you he should willingly show you either his call register or his bill, or both. Have you set any particular boundaries with him? I think if you ask, you may well know by his reaction whether or not he is still in touch with her.
Other than that, how are things?

Deluded, does he bring the phone from work home? And what type of phone is it? Sorry I dont work for a cell phone company. But I can tell you what I did to get 2 months worth of his phone records. I called his employer and asked who pays their cell phone bills, that was easy. Next step spoke to the person in charge. Second I gave her this sappy story that we had a contractor build us new stairs in our home and now there is a problem and since dear hubby called on his cell phone and dummy me didnt write it down the builder name is unlisted and we must contact him right away and if she would fax me his last two months worth of bills I know I would be able to recall the number from seeing it. Opps be careful as the person in charge said well what city is it in I could look for you and I said gee I dont know I think blah blah, which I knew was an area code that he would have lots of calls and she did not really have the time to look. Just dont let them look for you, do your best to persude her or him thats its urgent and if you feel they dont because of account numbers on the bill you could tell them to black them out that you would understand, and that you really just need that builders number as it a hugh issue with the person. I used that approach as I felt it would not raise any red flags with the person in charge. And it did help that H wasin training classes all week. But let me know what cell phone he has, I know a little bit about Nextel as H and I both have them. And how you may be able to get simple things from them if you're not sure how to get into different menu's and times that record how long someone a call lasted. Hope this helps, I love playing the spy.

My exW had nokia phone. You could see the last numbers dialed and maybe you might see his pin# if he is fat finger like my exW. It is worth checking.
Yes, Vodafone has online registration and with your H information you could view his bill online. However if it is company's cell, you might have to call the Vodafone itself since it is under the group account but they might let you.

Thanks Redhat. H doesn't use a pin number so I already know how to check the call register. Trouble is, he clears it nearly after every call, and has done so since I first discovered the A. The only way I can check is if I get his bills sent home and he doesn't know it. I've checked out vodafone and because it's a corporate phone I won't be able to access it online. The only way will be to get that bill. But how?

If he is still clearing his calls then he is still hiding things.
Not familiar with the company you referred to but here is what I did in my situation.
Wife had a cell through a different company than mine and it was billed (including sending the invoices to) her state job.
I had access to my wife's social security number. I had my sister call passing herself off as my wife. Most companies only ask for the social security number as a prerequisite for releasing account information. My sister said she needed the bills for the last 6 months to justify the phone expense to administation...since the state was putting massive budget cuts this was an easy sale. Then my sister said she would send her husband by to pickup the bills.
I showed my ID and walked away with 6 months worth of bills.
Now the chit hit the fan with the phone company when I confronted her with the bills....she was pissed they released the information without actually confirming that the caller was her. But hey that's her problem.

Thanks Stunned-Dad, I had been contemplating something like that, though we are in the UK so no such thing as ss number. I had heard via a friend who knows a PI that there is a way. Finding someone to do it for me will be the hardest part though....

Well deluded I also tried the old fashion way and bribed an employee of the other man's phone company....I could tell which cell company based on the first three digits of the number.
Didn't because unknown to me he had requested no access to his account by anyone....sneaky buh-star!
Do you know anyone that works for that company that maybe willing to at least pull up his bill without generating a hard copy?
Southern Bell was our local home phone company. The do not release billing information without a court order EVEN TO THE PERSON THE NUMBER IS IN. But I concocted a story that we thought our daughter was seeing a married man and we were concerned since she was a minor. I gave them the two numbers. Sure enough they did tell me the dates and lengths of the calls those numbers appeared. But they would not print and send me a hard copy.

Deluded,
just wanted to let you know how I got a detailed bill from Vodafone.
I faxed them the phone number, the holder's name (my H) and the code which I knew. The code is usually a word and my H used my name when he made the contract with Vodafone.
I asked them to send me a detailed bill (to our home address) and I signed in my H name. It was no problem at all. Since then I get a detailed bill and this is how I caught my H!!!!!! (he didn't have a clue that we were getting a "detailed" bill sent home) hope this might help ya! bb <small>[ April 14, 2003, 09:40 AM: Message edited by: blondblossom ]</small>
