There isn't too much to update on I'm afraid. I met with my lawyer again today (for over 2 hours), and we worked on my responses to H's "answers". She seemed somewhat impressed at how much (ammunition?) I had to prove AGAINST H's "claims" and statements.

But really... what is the point in so much energy being expelled just to prove H to be a liar? The only pertinent information is the correction of his income (he lied, and the proof is in his own financial statement!), the correction of the vehicle assets (he lied and said he had only one, when there were THREE), and the physical abuse (he lied AND contradicted himself).

May 6th at 2:30pm is the scheduled court date. It's not a trial, but a "case settlement", and much to my chagrin, H WILL BE THERE .

I'm worried about that. I haven't seen or spoken to him since late December 2002, and I don't know how I will react physically (heart palpatations, etc) or emotionally. I am starting a new anti depressant today, so I hope it will be working in a good way at that time. (I was on "remeron", and am now on a low dose of "effexor").

My lawyer and I came up with what we deem to be an acceptable "settlement", but even still, it's all on a temporary basis, as everything may change pending H's criminal trial. If he actually goes to jail, he won't be able to pay the child support; if he's acquitted or found "not guilty" then visitation may not have to continue to be supervised. Anything is possible at this point.

I'll be needed all of your prayers come May 6th. Mostly to pray for MY patience. I'll be sure to post about it again; probably the night before.

Thanks for "listening". Any questions?

Topie: I too will keep you in my prayers, don't be afraid of heart palpitations, chances are when you see him you will be "seeing" the real him- the one you've come to find out about, chances are strong that this new vision won't be one of "undying love" but rather one of "yes, I know this is the only choice for me. This in of itself should give you the strength to plow full force ahead.

Gotcha in my prayers
