Many thanks to all who replied to me about my father. The kindness of others -- close friends, the folks at MB, and complete strangers -- have really gotten me through these past few weeks. I have not had access to a computer until this past weekend and was just flat out exhausted.
My WH flew in for the memorial service and my mother (despite all that has happened) asked him to read at the service as he was close to my father. It was doubly sad for me to see WH standing there. He has stepped up the plate in quiet ways. While I was gone, he planted flowers for me in the garden, mowed the lawn, and stocked the refrigerator before I got home (all unsolicited). He has called every other day to make sure I am ok. It is the most normal he has been in the last two years.
Again, I truly appreciate all the kind words and thoughts. That have meant so much to me.

Hi unsure...
I am glad to see you back. I have thought a lot about you and what you are going through.
Having done it twice myself while in this limbo-land we live in I know what a load it can be.
We just went thru the final act...burying my FIL...this past weekend and that stirred up all the emotions of April's funeral...very sad...
I am glad to hear your WH stepped up for you...it just makes everything so much more unreal going thru this while going thru all of the stuff related to a separation etc...it makes it really, really hard.
I am glad to hear you are OK--well, as OK as you can be I guess.
You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers...
Take care
E
