Why the OP is their soulmate: Simple. They accept the most socially unacceptable behavior...an affair. The WS has thoughts, desires, even actions their S won't accept, but the OP relishes.
I think most of us BS's have heard "he/she (the op) accepts me for who I am. I can be myself." So a WS is doing things the BS would find unbelieavable and intolerable, but the OP accepts them obviously.

Personally, I think some people's brains are stuck back in junior high when I hear the term "soul-mate." Oh brother. I envision them wearing their "cute" boyfriend's ID bracelet. How...uh...charming. [if you are 14!]

"Soulmate"--- That must be part of the OP's script.
My WS told me that same thing: "She said she is my "soulmate"!
Is there a gag/throw-up face in the Instant Graemlins? Insert it here.

This is such a good topic. My WS says nobody understands her or has let her be free and express her emotions like her married man. They are old boyfriend/girfriend from high school, she's always had a big place in her heart for him. I think that was our major problem, she always had room in her heart for all these guys so it was croweded and there was no room for me. ------------------------------------------------- Me BS 51 WS 47 married 24 years D-Day #1 1980 D-Day #2 1981 D-Day #3 1987 D-Day #4 April 2003 Informal separation 6/1/03 Asked WS to move out [ June 03, 2003, 12:53 PM: Message edited by: Joquin1 ]

They accept the most socially unacceptable behavior But affairs are NOT the most socially unacceptable behavior. Far from it.
My WS says nobody understands her or has let her be free and express her emotions like her married man. If he had to put up with the stuff she does on a daily basis (re: married), he wouldn't put up with the stuff she is doing either.
