Are there any good sites that help men recover from a wife who has had an affair? I looking for one that would be encouraging and offer tips for dealing with unique issues a betrayed man goes through. I am working on fixing my marriage, but need a little coaching with dealing with my emotions. Seems like everything talks about women who have cheating men.

Thanks,
Scott

There are no sites specifically for men...that I know of. Trust me there are lots of betrayed husbands(BH) on this board. Not just "women who have cheating men".

If you were to post a topic with the heading/subject line that asked for BH to answer, I'm positive you'll get answers from them!

If you want answers from men who are farther along in the recovery process than you then, post a topic on the recovery board!!! The guys there are great!

IMNSHO you are in the right place because I've been to the betrayed husband's board over at facingreality.com and while there is good support there is nowhere near the amount of responses and good advice that is given here on the MB(marriage builders) boards.

MGM's suggestion is an excellent one, why don't you try it?

I just wanted highjack this thread for a moment (SORRY!) to thank TMCM for mentioning that "facereality" site. I wandered over there and think I did so at a useful time for a woman who's in the midst of an affair and I was able to share my tale in hopes of waking her up. (What a different world it is over there....some people posting things like "thanks OM for waking me up and getting me out of this marriage"???)

I'd have to say this place is more likely to help you work on your M than that other site too, Scott. Try posting with a request for other BS to chime in.

You all are right. This site is very good. I had another post in recovery and I am getting some great responses.

I think the hardest thing is that no explaination from my spouse will be acceptable. Also the pressures of what you are told to do with a cheating person vs how one really feels is in sharp conflict. We both want each other and we want our marriage.

For me it is a day by day experience and recovery. Each day brings new evidence that my wife is really trying to mend our marriage through actions and not words alone. I too am giving it my all. If she screws me again, she is gone. I will have to find away to move on, but for now and forever I have to give it one more chance.

Thanks again for your help and kind encouragement.

Scott

okay thought I was gone.....

I had problems with facereality.com as a betrayed spouse.

Like it or not there is also forums for the other man. And there are some rather obnoxious unrepetant posters there. One in particular tries to cyber "hit" on all the female posters running suggestive posts and like why you really want and need to have affairs for a healthy marriage and stuff like that. How deep down woman really want to have affairs because no one man can keep them happy. Or how much did you wayward wives really enjoy your affair and how the OP was better than your husband....yada yada yada.

I would nueter the bah-stard if it were up to me.
