I also posted this question on the EN board ~
Please - Those of you who have counseled with the Harley's (or know someone who has), I would like to know about your experience.
How helpful was it?
How many sessions did you have before you were able to really see a difference (I know this is very individualized, but generally speaking?)
How much did it cost (overall)?
Our health insurance will cover the cost of MC, but not MB (I don't imagine anyone covers phone counseling). If tradition MC does not work, my H is willing, but I know he would like to know the answers to these questions (and maybe others).
I know that money should not be an issue when saving a marriage, but money is somewhat of an issue.
Thanks for your input ~

All I can say is that seeing Steve should have been my first step with my H...
Steve is incredible. I strongly recommend that you find the money somewhere, somehow...in the end, if your marriage recovers, does it matter?
A very wise MB veteran (thank-you BR) has often reminded us that the cost of divorce is SO much more than any counselling with Steve...where would you rather invest your time and money?
Good luck

Steve is exceptional!
And he doesn't cost any more than good counseling elsewhere, without the hassle of going there.
As to how many sessions or how long...there's no way to answer that, I don't think. It depends on whether both of you are committed to it, how juch resistance there may be, and many other factors.
I will always consider the Cing we did with Steve as some of the best time and money I ever spent.
Also, I'd ask my insurance about it before assuming they don't pay for it...others with experience here chime in, please

Talking with Steve was worth the $$. Expensive but as BR says so is D.
We had our phone counseling in the comfort of our home. WS didn't want to talk to Steve but guess who spent the 45 out of the 60 minute session with Steve? I got 5 minutes, Steve had a 4 minute intro and about a 15 minute conclusion. We ran a bit overtime.
WS still said he didn't like Steve but so what? During that time, WS didn't like anyone. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
Gotta have the right perspective and not get too caught up in the words.
I hear Jennifer is great also!
Hey, do I get any MB credit for this? LOL!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

My WS continues to quote his one session with Steve. I often refer back to the notes I took in my sessions with him. He was great. I will continue if and when WS and I try to reconcile.

I think we paid $185 a session with SH. We did around 6 sessions. It was great. One thing to remember counseling with SH doesn't mean you should skip IC. We counseled with Steve, did traditional MC and IC. All of it provided different parts of what we needed. All but SH was covered by insurance. Money very well spent...wasn't possible to put a $ value on our sanity and saving our M.
We are in a great place now so it worked.
Good luck!
