Below is a copy of the e-mail I sent to my WH trying to get the ball rolling on separation matters along with his reply.

The Reply:

You do not get to pick and chose when you will communicate with me and
when you will not.

Regards,
(Name)
Your husband. The person you should have loved.

*Should I reply to this? At all??

* Maybe reply by repeating the Plan B message - and say to him that he can contact me whenever he wishes, so long as he has decided to end his relationship with the Concubine (although I'd use her real name of course)

* The legal issues to do with separation are a concern. WH has his head in the sand (or possibly up his A$$?) regarding the legal implications of our current marital status. He seems to be holding out on signing himself off my lease - possibly just to Pi$$ me off.

* The bit about "the person you should have loved" Well that is quite typical. Has always blamed his affair on me for not showering him with enough affection. And now he is feeling sorry for himself and trying to make me feel guilty. Never mind the financial sacrifices I made to stay here with him, putting my plans for travel on hold while he wanted to stay here in order to conduct his affair.

Claire,

When an animal is angry, it is no time to reason with 'em......Just reply with a polite: "ok". Do not give any reason or clarification. He will wonder what your OK means. You need to be patient and let it really sink in.

At least, IMHO. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thank you, Orchid!

So wise you are!

Much better Course of Action than the various plans I have concocted in the last 2 hours.

Damn!! Don't you just hate figuring out what to say after the fact?!

I should have said:

Yes, you're right. I should ask you first.
