I miss U! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Can you tell me how you learned all these fantastic communication skills, or was there just something poured in to your mix when they made you that makes you a natural??

I'm always reading your short little posts and trying to fathom out some clue that I might be able to integrate with me. I keep thinking that you'd make a GREAT counselor, yet the profession your in needs you!!

Can I be like you when I won't grow up??? Isn't there just some neat book I've been missing at the Library that I could check out and when I'd open it I would get sucked in to a new dimension where they'd sprinkle some "COOL" dust on me and I'd just come back with the power to listen, understand, see through the bullshoot, and issue great advice in a non confrontational and soothing way??? Huh? Comeon...SHARE!

I've been asking the same question for years. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> We are so blessed to have her here on MB!

Thanks Pep!

H4F .... You little scamp!

Here's the books that have been on my night stand recently.

Parenting The Hurt Child .... Helping Adoptive Families Heal And Grow ... by Keck and Kupecky .... (library book, just started because my H took over the book I was reading <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> )

When Love Is Not Enough, A Guide To Parenting Children With RAD - Reactive Attachment Disorder ... by Thomas (from Amazon.com .... I was 3/4 finished but my H got interested and now he's reading this)

It's My F---ing Birthday .... by Markoe (a "here, take this" book from a friend I recently stayed with. I'm almost done. Short story. Funny, but whiney woman who is relationship retarded)

Skipping Christmas ... by Grisham (another book given to me by same friend. I finished this book, and I'd love H to read it and turn out a movie script based on this short story. but H's is sure someone else owns the rights)

Headache .... The Journal Of Head And Face Pain ... (there's a fantastic article in the June 2003 issue, written by a fantastic RNP. It's her very first paper published in a national journal <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> Susan knows...... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> )

The Death Of Right And Wrong .... Exposing The Left's Assault On Our Culture .... by Bruce (2/3 finished ... I got bogged down with this book and needed a break)

I was feeling pretty sorry-for-myself recently ..... some physical concerns
some financial concerns
many worries about our son ....
and I decided to relax anyway and enjoy life.
It seems to be a good strategy for me .... I am a lousy problem solver when I've got my knickers in a knot, like Suz says .....

I've been going to Alanon meetings 1 or 2 times per week. That helps keep me from trying to solve everyone's problems.

Love,

Pep <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="images/icons/cool.gif" />

An interesting variety of reads that you have beside your bed Pep. (Can you actually stay awake to read in bed? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> I can't)

Two I've read: Skipping Christmas (luved it!) and the article from Headache .... The Journal Of Head And Face Pain (fabulous article by a brilliant RNP <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> )

Don't run out and buy these Hope4future. What she is reading right now didn't make Pep who she is today. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

I think some people are just naturally born with more love and grace than others <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> and our dear Pep is one of those.

Alanon has wonderful principles for everyone in living life!

Susan

H4F:

In my book (which has no title or author), all you chicks are pretty rare types. You, Susan, Pepper. I can't get enough of your wisdom!

ROTFLMAO...I think you mean WISE CRACKS when it comes to me. No wisdom here, only a little hard earned, hard headed, experience here.

Dangit Susan...I agree, none of those books are gonna help me right now. But ya know, I learn well from watching others...so if I keep watching long enough, some of the good stuff is bound to rub off. I've already noticed that in my business I've actually obtained some "grace" about me...something I NEVER in a million years would have thought would have fit me. Now if I could just get some of Peps insite and wisdom packed in to a semester course or two...I'd really be cookin with gas!

Pepper, I wish they would have let us tape the community play I was just in. I would have sent you a copy. The only physical concern you would have had would have been trying not to wet yourself from laughing so hard. It was a melodrama, I got to the be the rival rich bit#h...completely opposite of me in every way. It was a blast!!! I'm signed up for a leadership class next...but they only meet once a month so I need to find other things to feed my mind in the meantime. Maybe I will check out the local Alanon chapter. I've been meaning to for quite some time.
