Should I have my WS read the book SAA? He has read the other book HNHN halfway, but I don't know if this has helped or if he paid attention. Has this been successful for people?

Sally, it sort of depends on where you are in recovery. If you are truly in recovery, it wouldn't hurt to suggest it. If you are still dealing with a WS who is in an affair, it can be a lovebuster to try and educate your spouse. Whatever you do, don't push it.
