Hi Everyone,

23down is having his 24th wedding anniversary today. Alone. He is in Plan B. As an MB'er who recently spent her 19th alone, I know it would mean the world to 23down if we all banded together and just sent him a bunch of quick, "We're thinking about you" posts.

Once we get enough activity on this thread, I will change the title, calling him in.

OK, I'll go first.

Hi 23,

Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you today and sending hugs and smiles your way.

You will get through today, and here's hoping your WW will get a jolt of reality and realize what is waiting for her in your marriage.

Keep the faith!

23Down,

Today is a hard day for no (no secret about that). So please do this for 'us' (your fellow MBers).

Take your right arm and put it over your left shoulder, then take your left arm and put it over your right shoulder (or visa versa which ever feels comfortable - or if you are left handed - LOL!!! ). Now squeeze both shoulders....... there you have an MB hug from all of us.

Just a note: I have never given this MB hug to an MB guy!!! but it is safe even if my H knows, ok?

Now onto the meat of my message, while this may be hard for you find a fun thing to do today. Make a memory of fun even if it is small. Not a romantic memory but a fun one for you. It will be a struggle but know you are not alone in this journey.

I had the unfortunate experience of having the OW almost ruin my anniversary and I was NOT the one having the A!!! Go figure. Well be grateful if you don't have the OP calling you the night before and the morning of today.

So much for my nutty story. So you see, already you are having a better day than I did.

Remember tomorrow the sun will shine also. Mars is shining brightly and reminding us of all the life around us that we need to appreciate and enjoy. There is much more to life than this.....

take care 23down,
L.

23Down just wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you. I hope that you will surround yourself with friends and family and stay so busy that you won't have time to think about the significance of today. I also hope that your WS spends today thinking about the past and what she has lost.

23down,

I hope you have a great day. Dr Phil said in one of his books, "Make yourself a great day!" I know it will be hard, but you should go out and do something special for YOU!!!

I thank you for supporting me in my times of need. I hope this helps you a little and gets you through the day. We are all pulling for you. Your wife should be PROUD to have a husband like you. So, go out and be proud and show your strength... Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!

Hi 23 Down-

My 25th anniversary came and went w/o WH back in May. Funny thing, the lead-up to it was worse than the actual day! I hope you have a similar experience. What do you enjoy doing? Whatever it is, working, playing, being with lots of people or a few of those close to you, that's what you should do today. Thinking of you, 23Down.

23Down,
Take care of yourself! This day will pass just like any other, and you'll get through it just fine.

Do your best to stay busy doing something you enjoy. Don't focus on the date, if that's possible.

God bless,
Hopeful

23,
I spent my 19th without WH in April, I took the day off in anticipation of an emotional day. I'm glad that I did. I was free to cry and feel the pain without having to hold it in.
But I also kept busy, it ended up being quite a productive day overall.
I ended up calling WH just before midnight(I was not in Plan B at the time), he said that he had thought about it during the day. So don't believe that your wife isn't without her own pain and thoughts.
You will get through it, I'll be thinking of you, we all will be.
Take care.

I don't know what to say. Thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you especially, ISGirl. I hadn't cried once today until I read this thread, but it's a good cry. It helps so much to know that others care.

Happy anniversary, Robbie.

23 -

I hope your anniversary was as peaceful a day as you could have in these hard times. My 13th anniversary is on Friday, and I've done a bit of thinking about it. It seems to me that it is still worth celebrating. Not with our WPs, but by ourselves. Celebration of the courage and strength and joy and pain of the lives we've led with our WPs. Celebration of how far we've come in our lives, and how much we've learned and survived and grown.

We deserve that celebration, ourselves, no matter how our WPs spend our anniversaries. So I hope you had a good one, and I hope your strength and love continues to grow.

Theres a big hug for you. Friends and caring people do help us through the struggles. Hang in there.
Our 27th was ruined, I cancelled plans all because of a girl at our bank. She asked H to put for her on a prize they were giving away , I ask him to put for our grandson. A huge Winne the Pooh. He looked me straight in the eye and wrote her name on the slip. I walked out, called and cancelled my anniversary. I survived it though. LOL
So it doesnt' take an A to ruin one!
I hope you treated yourself well!
Through answered prayers, you will, hopfully, have many more to make up for this one.
when that time comes, celebrate no matter what day it is!
Blessings, LouLou

I don't know if this will sound right...

My W and I had our 27th anniversary 2 days after Christmas. I knew she wasn't planning anything, and I could have just blown it off, but I decided to plan a night away at a historic hotel we like. It was a wonderful time, even though we both had colds!

I don't mean 2 imply that you should have "done something" for your anniversary, beause I believe you shouldn't during plan B. It makes a point, and that point is that she COULD have shared a happy anniversary with you if she had chosen 2 do so. It's all in your plan B letter. You love her, but you have 2 do what's right for you and get your point across however you can. And this is one way it's done.

I hope my post sounds more hopeful and loving than I fear it might. I care about you, 23. You and your family.

Take care,
-ol' 2long
