Jen,
I just happened to come online now. I don't know if my words are brilliant. They're from the heart.

You said,

quote:
SO, to the "HERE WE GO AGAIN" part.....my H calls, drunk, to tell me all this, reaching out for comfort and consolation, and by the end of the call, he was asking me to come over.....I said I would but I had at least one reason not to, and he hung up.

Again, he was DRUNK.

I've always heard that you really can't have an honest relationship with someone when they abuse drugs or alchohol.

I suggest you go to Al Anon, or CODA meetings. Why do you allow yourself, or crave, being sucked into this drama? You deserve so much more.

Going there now only shows that you are again at his beck and call, even when he's drunk. Teach him how you wish to be treated. Is this really what you want in a man?

Please Jen, breathe deep, and if he calls back tell him you care about him, but that you can't come over tonight. You have to work tomorrow, and besides, he's drunk.

Take care Girlfriend,
HP
