So I've seen many complaints about how impossible Plan B seems to be when there are children involved, particularly when there are small children or infants.
I'd like to hear how people did it! What worked, what didn't? How did you coordinate transitions? How did you coordinate when someone was late or a bottle was missing, or all those other things that just -happen- when you've got kids?

I have a 5 month old and a 2.5 year old and have found plan B impossible. Although you can avoid relationship talk, there's too much interaction with small kids. The only time it really worked for me is when my mother was staying with me and did all of my communication with the H for me.

Thanks J of HJK-
Just the thread I was looking for... I thought I was one of the only people that believed a true Plan B was not possible....
I would love to hear from someone who had young children that it worked for...

Bump!
So, no one here did Plan B with kids? I know Mortarman did, though I don't know how old his kids are. Mortarman, want to talk about that aspect? Please?
Anyone else? It's not so important to me whether you made it into recovery or not at this point, but whether you feel like you could actually effect Plan B with kids.
Because if there's no one who's willing to admit to it, it worries me a rather lot!

I'm probably not gonna be any help here. I have 2 daughters, age 16 & 13. Been in plan B for a couple of weeks. Seems to be working out great for me. I've come to the conclusion that while your spouse is in the fog, they don't interact with their kids as much as they used to. Everything used to be for the kids with my wife. Well, with her new love, kids have taken a back seat. Makes it easy for me though because I don't have to deal with her. I'll let her deal with her demons on her own. She calls them but may only see them once a week. She hasn't been much of a financial support either. I kinda struggle, while she goes out and has fun. Like I said, her demons will eventually catch up to her. If I seem a little upset its because its my 17 year anniversary today. And I'm not feeling real friendly today. But, I'm trying to do a strict plan B and it seems to help. I'm not as emotional as I used to be. Besides, I've got my health and my 2 daughters and that's enough for me for now. I hope you get some more responses to your post. All I can say is that if there is a will there is a way. I would figure out something so I wouldn't have to see or speak with wayward spouse. It will help you in the long run. Good luck........
