All,
If you has been with us on the last get together you know where me are going to meet. If you don't have my cell# or Orchid#, you should give your cell# to Orchid (mborchid2@yahoo.com) to avoid snafu like @ sfZoo.
Metreon@11:00 AM. Don't bet on recognizing me by looking my photo@mb album. I changed my hair again ... !.
Oaktown ... maybe next time you organize the SFBayAreaMBer IV .

Where is this Metreon place? D wants to hang out with the adults. But she would probably get a kick out of bowling. She's never done it before.

Hi ya 'all,
Had a nice time today. We had the pleasure of meeting KS41 and her H, along with AM & young D, RH, LL, T1 and us (Orchid & H).
I certainly learned a lot today. Even about some of the forum changes.
A thought provoking statement was made today about how hard each one must work on their M's. Sometimes as younger ones we fail to see that need as important. Some of us learn that lesson at a later age yet we all need to learn this lesson ASAP. So to all who think getting M is an easy thing, it isn't. It is truly a give and take relationship.
Both spouses working hard and smart on your M's is vital to it's success.
JMHO, L.

She said she wanted to hear the adults talk. She was kind of glad to be the only kid there.
Yes, she is mature. Alas, she has had many maturing experiences.

AM,
Please give your D a hug from me. She is a bright, beautiful and talented girl. What a wonderful combination. Her attitude towards life is refreshing to say the least.
I asked her if our conversations would discourage her from considering M (when the right time arose of course). She said No it did not discourage her. Whew....still I worry. I hate it that our young ones have to hear and deal with such pain at a young age, yet that is part of the circle of life for now. Sigh
Anywhoze, tell her it was great to see her again and hopefully next time we will go bowling. H says not to make those kinds of promises since we have been there twice already and the only place we stayed was in the food court!
Hugz, L.

Actually, I think it's fortifying for kids to see adults who value marriage this much. All they see around them are kids who get divorced at the drop of a hat. She probably learned more about marital patience and forbearance there than anywhere else, recently.

AMM - I also loved meeting your daughter. She reminds me a great deal of my own. And next time, I'll definitely bring mine so they can exchange anime stories, etc.!
My girls have seen FWH and I struggle and work on our marriage. I am hoping it will help them recognize that marriages can be saved, and worked on, and be a rewarding proposition overall!
You guys are really a terrific group. We had made reservations for afternoon tea at the Palace, and had such an enjoyable time we just blew the reservation off to spend more time with you all. I am still in shock that my FWH has so talkative - loving it, but shocked! He was a bit apprehensive about going, but thoroughly enjoyed himself, and the opportunity to hear others talk about this stuff (imagine - he seems to be tired of hearing just *me* talk about it!!).
For any other BayArea builders who were wondering if they should go - make it a point! You won't regret making the effort (and also, I was inspired by Redhat and AMM's daughter to try the noodles next time....)

RF had to volunteer at her son's school till 5pm. I went to the Ironman team meeting with Blah in Berkeley, and the team training started yesterday and I was proud of Blah and was very happy to BE there to support him,so I am the Iron wife! I must say the training has brought us closer.
So maybe the next MBers get-together Blah & I can both attend.
Aloha to you all. [ October 22, 2003, 01:13 PM: Message edited by: wangi ]
