How long does most affairs last? And, what are the chances of a long term relationship, if any, from an affair?
It has been four months since I found out about my wifes' O M. I still live under the same roof with my wife and two kids, but I stay in the club basement, so I wont have to see my wife as much, (but I really do want to see her very much.)

The percentage of the above two questions would be greatly appreciated. These affairs are hard to live with, especially if I am not the one who is having the affair.

From what I have read and remember (any others out there, please correct me if I&#8217;m wrong <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> ) the statistics are as follows:

1. Most affairs don&#8217;t last more than 3 years and die a natural death within 6 months after discovery.

2. Only 25% of affairs end into long-term relationships, but only 3 &#8211; 5% are successful.
