In reading this book I am inclined to believe that my situation does not apply here. He says that most affairs end and they end because reality sets in once the WS is separated from the family. In my case, my wife's OM's family has accepted her. She now has his family. She is living her reality. He has a son and for all I know she is now his mother (even though the OM lives with him mother and his son lives with his exwife). But it seems like they are not in their own little world as the book suggests will end an affair.

I am just leaning on believing that their relationship will thrive and they will get married.

Solon,

I know it's hard for you to believe this but your situation is ideal for foretelling the end of the A.

When my FWH tried to make a new family with the OW, things began to fall apart with them. Fantasy fuels an A. They live in a narcisstic fantasy world that focuses on pleasuring each other. When reality sets in, they get to really know each other. The reality gives the OP opportunity to lovebust and the OP begins to fail at meeting all of the ENs. My WH says he began to see the OW's flaws and began to realize that she was just like any other woman.

So as crazy as it may seem, see this as a good thing. When I was in your position, I thought it was all over when my FWH moved in with the OW. However, now he tells me that he began to hate it there and really started missing me. You are your WW's reality, the OM is her fantasy. He will fail in the light of day. I guarantee you.

Focus on your PLAN B. Think about how bad of a job the OM is doing with trying to replace you in the real world. I know he is struggling! Like Mortarman told me this may be the only time that you have to spend alone. Try to think of ways to enjoy yourself. Now in recovery, I hardly have any free time to myself.

Hi Mimi,

Like the last post,, my WH is living with the OW as well. I have been married 25 years, got married because I was pregnant, so not a good start to a marriage. This is my H second affair and after the first one ended, led me on that he loved me and would never do this again, within 3 days of meeting this other woman he was moved in with her, told me he never loved me and should have never married me. After only 4 months he is already talking of marrying her. How can a man do something like this, lead someone on, hurt them so bad. I dont see a chance of us ever getting back together. Some days I not sure if I want to. I am so confused and hurt right now. Will this affair end or is there a chance of it working

Cheryl
