I have been going through this for 9 months. H has an OW. I have his dog. The dog has separation anxiety. She has been with me, but is not a companion, she is always waiting for H to come over.
In October I told H that I could not keep the dog anymore. She hides in closet, under my feet, and shakes all of the time. He took dog to his son's house. Well that lasted about 3 months. Then son wanted her out of his house. H did not visit dog, or take any interest in her.
So I took dog back. She still was cringing and not a good pet for me. I have had her for about 3 weeks. H has not visited her or anything. I talked to him yesterday and he said he would be by this morning. Well, he did not show up.
So this afternoon I took dog to his house. His girlfriend's car was there so I tied dog to her mirror. I am done with this. If he does not care for his dog, I don't either.

At the risk of coming across as rather insensitive, I think perhaps a good laugh is what you need...
My W has always had a magnet on the refrigerator. It says "Husband and dog missing. Reward for dog."
Considering that my W has already been through one divorce, and that we've not had the most blissful of marriages so far, the saying on that magnet has always bothered me in some small way.
I know it doesn't apply exactly to your situation, but your story made me think of that darn magnet. I hope it brings you a small laugh, believer. Best wishes. For what it's worth, I think you did the absolute right thing this afternoon. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> Stay strong.

I keep laughing too everytime I see this post as well...
and here's the politically correct statement that if you find this post and the thought of believer doing what she did...that it is still possible to be 100% animal friendly...and may this post stand as the political correct mantra...to relieve anyone else from posting thier thoughts on this....
We all love animals and no one here would ever condone any bad things happening to believers dog...
newly baptized QUAKER for shaking for her husband...
tomorrow you should tie his bones and toys to his car.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Well folks, I do love the dog. But I am tired of taking care of her while H just ignores her. I talked to him and asked him to come over and walk her. He said he would if he got the chance. Well no show.
So tonight he has her. Anyway when he gets home from wherever, he has her. I am done.

Well, she -did- tie the dog to the car mirror. It's not like she knocked and handed the leash over with a lecture on pet care or anything. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
But yeah, believer, now that the dog's out of the house, start clearing out all the bad air. And no, NOT the bad air from dog farts, either!

Yeah - I am supposed to be in Plan B. Not doing all that well in it though. Yesterday went by step daughters house and H was there. Asked him to please come see dog. He said he would. I am so tired of all of this. Now he has the dog back, and I am glad.
