I have the right counselor, I'm sure of it--very very fruitful first session. We got through a lot: family and marital history, all sins of the past (mine and everyone else's), spirituality, suggestions on things to do and say in the near future. He understands all of why I'm there, he gets it, he knows what questions to ask. We have not yet discussed my affair in any detail (it only came up when he asked about my reasons for having sought counseling in the past). I won't have any trouble talking to this man about it. He is great, we work together very well. It really helps to have 'experience' in therapy, that way you can cut to the chase, get things done. Goals and purpose coming together quickly.

Guess what...you were right about the book. I sent the defective copy of Passionate_Marriage back to the publisher (not expecting anything really) and they sent me a new one, with a very nice personal note. (This is an endorsement for Henry Holt.)

Also in yesterday's mail the brochures I ordered about my riding holiday in Ireland, something I've wanted to do for years...I'm going to book it for the summer, without the first idea of what will be going on in my life by then. (Who knows--I may be homeless, as long as I am still employed I'll get by.)

Thanks for believing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
