I am no techy but I think a chat line in her would be a good thing for people wanting to talk to other people in real time. 1. Can it be done? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> and @. How would we do it?

Glenn,

Go to yahoo and start a chat "group" and publish the directions on how to get there. I'm not sure it this will violate the rules here, so get the buy in from the moderators.

I have used a yahoo account to dialogue real time with someone I met here. It's been nice to through ideas back and forth in a quicker way.

The reason there are is no chat here is that too many affairs start that way.

If everyone posts it publicly, there is less likely to happen.

Hi GlenninSantaFe

A while ago one of the ladies here, helped us putting a site for that.

This is the address, you have to register, and it has a chat feature. The chats are slow this days, but maybe it just needs the new ladies joining in.

As I said, this is just for LADIES.

I'm sharing, because in the past this feature helped me a great deal!

Affairs start from this website???

I find that hard to believe, though I suppose possible. I think if anyone was thinking of having an affair, and read some of the posts on this site and found out what pain they were about to cause, they wouldn't do it.

Its happened. That's another reason why there's no private messaging on this site either. This way all the conversation on this site stays "out in the open".

Scott - We've had several folks here get married after meeting on this site. So I guess a chat line wouldn't be a good idea. It keeps the focus on building marriages, not starting new ones.

There is a very good reason that there is no live chat facility on this site, and it is because that is how many affairs got started in the first place. Read the stories here, and see how often an affair started in a cyber-meeting. It's a great vehicle for intimacy without accountability.

Over the years there have been occasional posters who, one suspects, are trawling for victims. We are a rich source of vulnerable, emotionally off-balance men and women.

A spin-off site created by male and female MB members did host a chat-line. Boundaries were crossed, and indiscretions took place. Live chat is not a good thing for people dealing with infidelity.
