What a thoughtful and respectful sentiment, JG.

As a police officer's wife, your post made me teary eyed.

I sadly add my respects to yours.....

I am a police officer's wife, too. And a police officer's daughter (Dad is retired)and sister (brother works with husband).

Everyday I say my prayers and ask God to please keep my husband safe and coming home to me, even with all that's happened, even know we are separated right now. He works in a dangerous town and life is so short, tomorrow isn't promised.

We recently lost a state trooper who had been married only 5 months. I cried for his widow thinking they were robbed of a lifetime of happiness and babies and love.

God bless our husbands.

My prayers go out to them and their families.

As an army wife it always saddens me to hear of people serving our country that are lost.

I am thankful to have my H close and safe.

A little off topic, but thanks thanks thanks to all the officers, firemen, military and anyone else putting their lives on the line to keep us all safe!!!
