It's been a very long time since any public mention of adultery sickened me. Until today. The headline read: "Pearl's widow finds love at CNN." I was so happy for this woman, Mariane Pearl, whose husband was murdered in Pakistan by extreme Islamists after 9-11. She was with child and that little boy is now two years old. Her story touched so many of us.

Good, I thought, she is getting on with her life and has someone to share it with.

The story went on for two or three paragraphs before it even mentioned that Pearl's "love" was a married man of 16 years with 2 children. Of course, nobody would comment on the "story," including Pearl, the MM, or the guy's wife, whose betrayal has just been made public for all the world to see.

I am just sick. Sick that she will endure this publicly. Sick that the media considered the adulterous aspect of this relationship as secondary to Mariane Pearl finding "love." Just plain sick.

Argh.I didn't see this segment but that's the media for you.Unless there is a direct purpose to discuss Infidelity, as in a program about the detrimental effects of, then it seems to me that it is glossed over or forgotten entirely in the story lines.

how nice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> take a tragic event in your own life and use it to create tragedy in someone else's. Suddenly I no longer feel sorry for her.
