I've read many of your postings and I'm impressed with how clearly you see things now. Please tell me how you got there!
My Hs affair is over but I think he is still in the fog. I am afraid DAILY that she will call and this nightmare will start all over again. He still believes that his friendship was important to her. If you read through my other postings you will see that it was not! She was as manipulative as any I have seen or read about, more than most! I know I'm not supposed to dwell on that, I'm supposed to move forward in my marriage on concentrate only on us, but it is so hard living day to day knowing that he thinks so highly of her (he doesn't admit that, he claims she was nothing but a "leech" but I know better, I've heard the things he said TO her)
Please don't tell me to just let it go. I can't. What I need for you to tell me is how you got to where you are now.
If you read the other things I wrote you will also see that I had affairs early in our marriage too but I was never in "the fog" thinking back to the first one I know that I was only using him to boost my self esteem. I knew he was not my friend and that he didn't care about me. If he did care about me he would have told me to go home and do everything I could to fix my marriage. He would have told me to try counseling etc. but that wouldn't have served his purposes. He was a very attractive man that could have had anyone he wanted and at the time he chose me. That was all it was about for me. I had a husband at home that made me feel like the LAST woman he wanted to be with and someone else who made me feel wanted and desired, but I had NO illusions that he was my FRIEND.
