It has been 4 weeks since I discovered the affair. My H has stayed mostly because I am pregnant. I am so confused. He doesn't tell me he loves me anymore. He thinks he loves her. He states that they never had anything we didn't have in the beginning. I guess he is referring to the honeymoon feelings. We have been together 11 years. They were together 6 weeks. He states it is stong emotional connection. She has a H and son. He states in his head he wants to stay with me becuase of everything we had and our family but his heart is somewhere else. I feel like he has given up on our marriage. He doesn't even try. Our marriage was rocky for six months due to a miscarriage and stress. I need help coping with this. It is hard to hold on to something that is hopeless.

You are very early in this and there is lots of hope. Have you started Plan A.
Also please take care of yourself right now. Sounds like WH is no meeting your needs, so seek out friends, family, and activities.

It is hard to work on something when you lable it "hopeless".. As long as you buy into this feeling of hopelessness .... you will feel helpless.
Personal empowerment will be at your fingertips whenever you decide to change your position from "hopeless" to "difficult".
Men in combat have fought and won "hopeless" battles ..... usually because they refused to lay down their honor and surrender.
It is hopeless as long as you decide to see it this way.

PS .... Watch the movie "Apollo 13" .... and see what they did when their situation was hopeless. [ April 12, 2004, 01:34 PM: Message edited by: Pepperband ]
