The reason why I am smiling Orchid is because I am here and can. After what I came close to, it is so great to be able to be here and the main thing is ....want to be!
I am fortunate in that when I am logged on which is daytime for me, it is usually night time for a lot of MB's, and I know that the darkness and despair comes at night.
When I joined this site, I would never have believed that in my most desperate moments I would have come here for help.........Well I did.
I posted when I most needed some help and ppl here showed me that I was loved and needed. That is why now, I am logged in all day (my day, your night) because I may just be able to reach out to someone at the time they need it most.(Nightime for them, daytime for me)
I came so so close Orchid, the only thing that stuffed me up was that I couldn't open the gun barrel. I had the ammunition, but I couldn't open the barrel part where the bullets went ( I have never shot a gun) but I think it must have sieced or something, I don't know, all I know is that if that frigger had of opened I would not be here now.
If I can help 1 person through what I was going through that night,I will feel that it was not all for nothing.
I am smiling.....I will continue to smile......I know I will still have my problems, but [censored] there are people here with bigger hurdles than me.
There were people that offered to ring me on the phone all the way from the US, Whiteknight said give me your number and I will ring! My god, I have reletives that live 5 minutes from me that could not give a [censored] if I was dead or alive, yet here is a complete stranger willing to ring me to talk to me! Go figure. And today when I read his post, my god, my problems are so pathetic in comparrison. I will always have the greatest respect and love for this person because regardless of the nightmare he is enduring, he had the time to invest in a crazy cow like me!
I will never forget that as long as I live and am here on this earth.
I will continue to be logged in daily just incase there is a poor bugger out there like I was needing someone. So that is my reason for <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> , I love you guys so much, and truly you saved my life.

Hi mtheart Did you end up getting the books you were after.
I am so sorry to hear of your recent crisis. Thank God people were here to help you and that there was no ammunition in the gun. What are you doing with a gun anyway. Get rid of it. I know you are from Australia like me, and our gun laws are pretty strict. Please get rid of it, just in case you get into the same situation again. If it is not there you can't use it.
Anyway Mtheart, I am in Australia too. I live in Sydney. If you ever need someone again, please reach out to me. We are in the same time zone and I can ring you from the same country. If you want I will email you my number in case you need it. Just let me know.

mtheart!!
You have no idea how happy I am to log in this morning and see that you have posted. I was... distracted and broody after you were last on here in such a desperate state. I was thinking about you last night and that I needed to do a search for you, to see if you'd posted since then. I was debating about that, because I wasn't sure how well I'd handle it if no posts came up.
I am SO GLAD to see you smiling!!! I am SO GLAD things "didn't" work out for you.
Yes, we are all (mostly) strangers on here but we know the value of a human life, especially a human who is compassionate enough to find and contribute to these boards. It tore me up to see you feeling so low, and now I am giddy knowing you are smiling. Thank you for your happy post - it was a gift!

C&S, Thank you for bumping this up, you are right I missed it. Thank you so much for offering to ring me if I need you, I truly appreciate it. Hopefully I will be ok now, it turned out that my meds needed adjusting, ended up in hosp for 2 nights and my doc upped the level of medication that I was taking (I am bipolar), Doc said on the night that I had had a psychotic episode. Hubby got rid of the gun on the Sunday before I was discharged from Hosp on Monday. He also got rid of a heap of meds that I had stashed, threw out my disposable razors and bought me an electric shaver. So house is now a pretty safe house now.
We had our 25th wedding anniversary on the Wed and we headed to the Adelaide hills to a secluded B & B for 5 days. We had plenty of time to talk and discuss the stuff that sent me over the edge.
I am feeling really great now, the meds are kicking in and I can feel it. I was depressed for 6 days then manic for 3, but am stable again now.
I never did end up with the books, I ordered them online but they emailed back that there was a problem with my CC number, so I didn't bother, hopefully I will find it in a book shop soon.
Thanks once again for your kind offer and I will certainly "Hollar" next time (Lets hope you don't hear from me).
Turtlehead.... Thank you for being so caring also, your lovely post brought tears to my eyes, it was a reminder of just how many people were there for me on that dreadful night and I will always remember and appreciate it. Thank you so much. Love mtheart

Hey! I am so glad you are ok, too! I am here for you. I don't sleep much. Self-employed. Insomniac, but for good reasons. I work best at night. I'm on the east coast of U.S.A. 1:11 a.m. here.
Glad you got rid of gun, etc. Not to give you any ideas, but aren't there more great white shark attacks near you than anywhere else on the planet? Great Barrier Reef, I think.
Hey, is DAKTARI still on the air there? I always wanted to go to Australia / New Zealand, but I hate never ending plane flights.

Boy sounds like you were in a bad place. I am glad you reached out for the help you needed. Your H sounds supportive and I am glad you were able to sort though the issues you alluded to.
The Adelaide hills hey? Lucky you. We visited there many years ago. Sounds like a great place to have a 5 day hideaway. Very romantic.
Glad to hear that you are so much better now. Keep that attitude C&S
