I signed the paperwork for dissolution/divorce with my WW about a week ago. She hasn't talked to me since then. I don't know if she has turned the paperwork in yet or not. She almost seems like she has dropped off the earth. She hasn't even talked to my youngest D this weekend. This is very unlike her. I'm just wondering what is going through her head. Any WSs out there that have gone to this point, either filing or close to filing, did you regret or rethink about divorce? Any WSs out there, have you regretted getting a divorce or is your life better now? Just wondering....

I was a WS. I regret my divorce and always will, because I wanted to be with my H forever, I loved him with all my heart, but I also saw the divorce as my last resort after a long and painful separation. I'm a bit different from your average FWS though. I ended the affair with d-day, found this site, cut off contact with OM and wanted nothing more than to save my M, but my H pushed me away. I later found out he had a relationship going on during our separation.

I am sorry you have to go through this pain.

Lost,

I can't answer your question directly. However, four years after our divorce, my first wife (the WS) wanted to get back together. When she first left, I was told to be prepared for that. At the time, I could not believe it. Guess what? It happens. A lot depends how the marriage was before the divorce, and if you want to return and work on the issues. In our case, she jacked me around so much during the prior 19 years, I didn't want to go back there.

Its kinda weird but I still have triggers and fight back tears alot even this long after our separation. I thank those that posted. I think my WW will regret it afterwards. It may not be tomorrow or next month, maybe not even next year, but she will regret it, I'm sure. She is losing alot and for what? I feel she would have to offer me alot to come back, but I do still want her back. I know I can live without her and I'm not lost-without-her anymore. I know I can be happy without her and things are getting better daily. Again, thanks to all of you...
