I am going into Plan B as H wants to be with OW. I am now six months pregnant. I am trying not to get sick and eat but it is really hard. Can you give me any advice on how you kept food down and stayed well for the baby??

Durham,

If you're having short term difficulties with food, drink a lot of healthy fluid you can keep down: Juice, energy drinks, milk, whatever. Try not to dehydrate.

Never miss a vitamin.

Several small snacks, crackers or a couple of small meals. I found breakfast bars that had some sort of filling were rather safe to eat because they were bland and dry on the outside and a bit moist on the inside.

If your having trouble keeping anything down for more than 24 hours, call your health care provider. When I had really bad morning sickness (not A related, but I was on my knees for days) a nurse hotline recommended I take Vitamin B-6 and it really helped with the nausea. Nurse hotlines are available 24 hours.

You saw Plan B coming, so try to use this time to emotionally detach. You need to catch your breath and remember who you are. You are Durham76, an individual that is loveable, strong, beautiful, and a great mother. No one's actions can make you less than you are. Trust your values not your emotions right now. Breathe.

TooMuchCoffee has some great articles on his MB Garage page (there are a lot of good articles and advice for when your looking for something but can't find it in regular posts).

What's your e-mail?
