Hope you have a great day.

I used to be a lakers fan, but after much research and time on the water, I concluded that salt water fishing is a better all around adventure and the fish are tastier. Further, lake sailing sucks - unless it's a really BIG lake. The wind is too fluky and there's way too many jetskiers.

I grew up right next to a really, REALLY big lake (Lake Michigan). And lemme tell ya, even on a big lake, the sailing sucks. Sailing in Hudson Bay in September when there was frost and SNOW the night before?

Now I don't sail at all. Ever.

Good to hear about your son, Pep!

Sailing: ...

ugh! Used to race... really race sailboats. Old boyfriend sailed many a trans-Pac ...

I nearly drowned after capsizing.... I don't sail anymore.

Nearly drowned when body surfing ... I don't surf any more.

I am scared of the ocean.... I've seen it full force in an angry mood....

I wade in the knee-high waves and look for shells now.

Man-child-son update:

"Mom, my clothes are dirty."

Wash them, and they will be clean after you are done.

"Mom it costs money to use the machines at the house where I live."

Yes, it does.

"Can't I come over and wash my clothes at home?"

You don't live here anymore. No you cannot wash your clothes here.

"Why not?"

Because you don't choose to live here.

"I don't have laundry soap or softiner."

Buy some. It's in the grocery store.

"But it costs money!"

Yes, I noticed that.

"I am running out of money."

Yes, I imagine you are. Cigaretts are so expensive now." (DJ on my part... but not too bad)

"Can't you help me? You're my mother!"

I'll buy you your very first box of soap and fabric softiner.

"Thanks Mom"

Whoa! - trans-Pac. That's outta my league.

I raced little boats. Those not big enough to need laundry soap or softener...........

The EXACT words my dear Hubby said to me.

No one is as tough on addicts as a former addict!

Hubby says I have the "mom disease"...

Nearly drowning is something I've managed to avoid... but there is a place near my home town that has more shipwrecks on it than any other place in the Great Lakes.

We were there one stormy night when I was 18 and my youngest brother was 3, and my parents were old enough to know better.... there in 50 feet of water and waves that were topping 15 feet.

I honestly don't know how we survived that night.

Talk about caving...

Never thought I would agree to do it, but I mailed chewing tobacco overseas. Son can't tolerate cigarette smoke and picked up this habit from other soldier friends.

I hate it, I hate it, I hate it...
but...
do you think I could say no?

Does that make it a little better?
