Hi Folks,

My WH came home with a copy of the magazine Psychology Today a couple weekends ago and it had an interesting article about how the pursuit of "soul mates" is breaking up solid, good marriages. My WH thought it would be good for him but...it doesn't appear to have had the desired effect. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Check it out:

www.psychologytoday.com

Click onto the current issue and look under the title "Great Expectations".

I just hope it can prevent more couples from falling into the same traps.

OK - I'm guessing you're not supposed to e-mail this to your WH while you are in Plan B...

yea, if you take away the preservatives (like sneaking around and not being together every day) "soul mates" have a pretty short shelf life!

toomanylies -

You comment about preservatives was too funny LOL

I just read that article again (e-mailed it to a couple of people I know - NO not to my WH - would break Plan B). I noticed the part about marriage isn't supposed to make you happy... it's supposed to make you married.

I just AM a happier person than my WH is - was happier than he was when we were together and am happier than he is now. OK part of my current happiness is because of AD's. Plus I'm finally really following Plan B so I'm feeling more confident eahc day and am not exposed to his emotional and verbal abuse anymore.

Of course he was happy (and I was not) when he and OW were in the honeymoon phase of their affair... but that ended almost a year ago. And he and she don't have a clue how to recreate it - the reason they are adulterers instead of faithful folks in first place LOL. Apparently OW is much closer to realization that the affair is over for good... WH still hopelessly 'in love' with her and clinging to insane hope that somehow things will go back to way they were pre-exposure... He's majorly angry that I 'ruined everything for them' (What did he think I would do? Host a bridal shower for her? LOL SHE who was hoping to destroy MY marriage and family?!?! Yea, I'm such an evil woman LOL)
