And now for the Left-Coast-News !!!!!

Last evening, Mr. Pep and I attended an entertainment event ... a sort of circus involving acrobatics, high-wire flying, and wonderful horses.

and... I was chit-chatting to the older couple behine us ....

when I suddenly realized...

I was speaking to Merv Griffin and Mrs. Nancy Reagan ....!

And ya wanna know how I finally recognized who they were...?

I started wondering about the fellows in black suits with ear pieces hanging out of their ears.

I need new bi-focals.

Well, turn about is fair play.

I swear I am not making this up.

Just got an e-mail from the first au pair we had from Germany back in '98/'99. She's a sweetie and keeps in touch with me - her "host" Dad in au pair terminology.

She's gonna have a baby.

Guess this makes me a host Grand Dad!

Feeling older already.............

So, Pep - are Merv and Nancy "just friends"?

I showed H this thread last night as he was wondering what was going on because I kept laughing.

He said, and I quote "That guy is not coming for dinner here....."

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

(He was laughing - of course you're welcome WAT - see you in 7 years)

let me make sure I have this right......
while I am sleeping...
and pep's hobnobbing it with the famous...

you all are enquiring,
pondering,
and ruminating on my age...

(except for Melody....who always has my back...)

and somehow WAT scores an invitation to people's houses for dinner???

AND not to rat out pep...but she sure did handle this one with evasive tatics...did she not... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Jenny's giving me 7 years to clean up my act so chill!

Besides, my SO will offset my lack of class.

Just never accuse me of not getting to the point......... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

So, ark^^, you wouldn't have me to dinner?

Remember, I didn't actually accuse you of being old - just wise............

(Oops - now I've done it. She'll answer, "yep, wise enough to NOT invite you.)

boy does that smack of familiarity...
like when I say...
"now honey I didn't say you were a jacka$$
I said you were like a jacka$$...two totally seperate things>"

WAT you can come to dinner any time and cook us marinated steaks on MY grill....

I promise to salt the rims of the glasses...

I used 2 like salted rims of glasses, until I realized that my eyes would burn every time the wind blew hard enough 2 dislodge some of it...

Must be "mental pause." Guess I'll stop and think about it a bit.

I donno why..

but I no longer care about my age...

I am just a happy girl..

errrr, make that a happy old girl...

happy happy happy

I think it's because I am in a grieving period ... and "age" just seems so ... un- important ... a non-issue...

life is every day a blessing

and no matter my age

I am breathing

I am loving

I struggle

I laugh

I cry

I am

me

and for 54 I feel pretty good!

Love ya WAT ... but lately I am damned difficult to insult... you must try something different... the "age" thingy is so 5 minutes ago...

Hm...

I'm a bit short on NaCl anyway. What would margaritas taste like with jarosite-rimmed glasses, I wonder?

OK, this is really out of hand now.

ark^^ - take you up on the cookout and salted rims.

Pep - I'm concerned about the good buddy schtick. Will you consider Venus again?

2long - clean those glasses with dihydrogen monoxide - but what ever you do, don't breathe any!!! Just a few drops are known to cause death.

AND!!

Notice JL hasn't stopped by............

Just to drop you in it a little further WAT, I'm not quite finished here yet - I'm enjoying myself. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I believe your exact words were "You gals have gotta be older than JL."

You probably don't remember - just thought I'd reintroduce your faux pas.

I'm the same age EXACTLY as WAT so I can say what I like. LOL.

And where is JL...?
