Ysterday started a little rough, but today I got something from W that I never expected.

Let's start w/yesterday. W calls me at work to let me know she had rec'd a call on her cell that came up "Private #" which often was the OM (so I couldn't get his #). We had agreed that she would reject the call so the caller would know that the she did not want to talk to him. But instead, yesterday she answered. It was a wrong #. She called to tell me at work to tell me what happened. I asked, why did you answer, it coulda been OM. She said, B/c I miss him and want to hear his voice. Pretty damn honest, and painful to hear. I thanked her for her honesty, and told her that if she talks with him again, even if he calls her, it sets us way back. W is here in the M, but just barely. We talked more after the kids went to bed, she is still conflicted, not sure if she can stay with me b/c of all that has happened. OM cannot get a divorce and if he is caught seeing another woman while seperated he will get creamed in the D (Italian law). So basically, he killed the relationship outta nessicity.

So today I had to come home early to get ready for a doctor's appt, and W suggested we eat lunch at home b/c kids would be in school and we could talk. I get home, W has already made me a sandwich, and a drink, and there is a card next to my plate. The pre-printed part inside says"I'm sorry." Then she writes, "I'm trying very hard. Maybe we should try to meet for lunch once a week after (youngest daughter) goes to school? Love, _. I am a guy that is pretty rough, very light natured, but that card brought tears to my eyes. I love that she is feeling guilty, I know that is not right, but I hate being the only one in pain here.

I guess there no advice needed, but I wanted to share my good news. These boards are pretty grim sometimes, hopefully I can continue to post good stuff.

Hi betrayed man,

Those were good moves on your WW's part, honesty, lunch and a card. And good for you too with no LB after she told you her honest feelings of wanting to talk with OM.Just keep remembering, baby steps, little by little. The small gestures will hopefully turn into big ones in time.Don't forget to reciprocate too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Have a good weekend.
