Considering WSs and the "FOG". How long can infatuation last on fantasy alone. How long can a person delude themselves about so many things in their life? Or, how long do they have to mantain denial that they start to believe their own bu11$h1t and remember it as the truth?

Some will last as long as they get all that they selfishly want. And the OP sticks around for the same reason. Look at what it took for some folks to "end" it. BS that are "aware" and disclose to as many other people as it takes is a good move for those WS who will not budge.
How the person justifies his/her affair is integral to 'wonderland longevity', I think. Not any of it is helpful for recovery. They happen to be very very good at deception. With themselves as well as others. I do not think that some have as much fog as they do just after what they want. Some have addiction problems with sex.
This is an excellent question and it is the reason that MC or and IC is necessary. When we put out the questions at MC, or the counselor brings up the ? of an A, it is a perfect opportunity to dissect the entity, and then take it apart piece by piece, and dissable it!

The OM in my situation has a smarmy carsaleman-like personality. Do you think salesmanship is a common trait amongst OPs? How many OPs are people just people looking for love in the wrong places versus predators of some sort?
