I saw a commercial last night, for Butterfinger, I think, anyway, something crunchy. An old guy is munching away and his toothless wife is looking at him longingly. So, he takes out his upper & lower dentures and hands her the candy bar, she puts the teeth in... I can't remember what the tag line was because I was laughing.
So, I'm ready to go as God wills, but I'd prefer not to have to share teeth with anyone on the way there. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Gosh, WAT, so many variables. Isn't it interesting when you think you're asking a straightforward question such as thing and find out that no one can just answer? And we wonder why we don't communicate well. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Anyway, since I don't know all the variables, I will make my assumptions and just answer without asking questions. I want to go fast...massive stroke in my sleep when I'm home alone. (If H is home and works fast he could and would turn it into the other one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> )
I'm preciuos
P.S. You are all welcome for me not getting philosophical about all this. I could on and on and on...just like the energizer bunny. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
BTW,edited to add the "visible" emotion. <small>[ May 27, 2004, 02:31 PM: Message edited by: i'm precious ]</small>

Worth, I'm so disappointed. After all isn't this YOUR thread? Didn't you ask this question?
Well,.........................I'm still waiting..........................
NOT once have you responded with a smug superior attitude and given these simple peasants the truth as you see it, by simply " dismissing " any point or example that you your self have not brought up.
However, The main task your neglecting (IMO) is informing the masses what exactly IS "relevant" to a discussion! Or even more important, what is "irrelevant" in their lives (or to the topic) IF it doesn't fit into your perspective of the issue.
I trust you'll look into this this matter promptly. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> Thank you

the final, but likely best growth opportunity If it's the "final" growth opportunity, what would one do with this knowledge? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

What is the goal of the death? To move on, or to grow? If the goal of the death is simply death....I'll take the fast death. If the goal of the death is the growth before death.....I'll take the FAST death too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> !!!! Ark, and I'm Precious I'm with you, when faced with death, it is all about the food. Let's discuss our last meal. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
I will give my choice to the OM S, she can decide for me. I'm guessing she will choose B, and enjoy it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Yes2rday's number was 239857623. That's 456790 more than the number for this date a year ago, and about bang on 2 the average for this season.

Hey, wait a minute, WAT (or is that wat a minute, WAIT?)!!
Where am I supposed to cast my vote? In cement?
Now there's a thought. Would donning concrete galoshas and jumping off a pier fall under A, or B?

Slow and torturous, of course, because the opportunities for growth are many!
A good method for growth opportunities would be if someone severed one of my arms while I was busy taking care of their needs, but missed one or two that I wasn't aware of. I could prevent my death if I chose not to bleed. If I bled to death, I guess it would be my own stupid fault for choosing to respond that way.
I could work on my growth as the other arm was severed by the same person. If I didn't learn to not respond by bleeding when the first arm was severed, then the person would be helping me by giving me another opportunity to grow.
Hopefully, before both my legs were chopped off, I would have learned that the person with the machete (sp?) was not inflicting harm to me, they were giving me opportunities to grow. I would hope that I would thank them before my last breath.
Also, I would have had the opportunity to learn how to clean up the mess that I caused when I chose to bleed all over the place. If I grew enough during the experience, I would have all the blood cleaned up from one severed limb before the next was chopped off.
After my death the person could just complain about the leftover mess that I couldn't clean up by myself and walk away muttering in disgust that since I didn't make more of my growth opportunity he gave me then I probably wasn't Life Material in the first place.
I'm surprised more people didn't choose slow and torturous--especially if you choose to not respond by bleeding to death you'll get over it and live! If you're Life Material in the first place, that is.

WAT,
Good to see you still have your intelligent sense of humor. A couple of suggestions for your NEXT poll:
Which would you rather be, an unremorseful, self-righteous poster OR an egotistical, pontificating poster? (And please discount the recent evidence that it is entirely possible to be both.)
Which "growth experience" would you rather be sentenced to, twenty years of hard labor or twenty years of being forced to read posts written by SNL?

It's really interesting to see how differently people look at the same simple question.
We all put our own "factors" into this death scenario, so our answers were based on different parameters.
Veeeery interesting...... (that always makes me think of Laugh-In <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> )

I was going to choose A (because I strive for personal growth) until I read this:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial"> Five minutes after death, all will be revealed 2 you." </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">So...I choose B. All I ever wanted is for *all to be revealed to me* and no longer be in the dark.
LOL - Way too funny LB!
