I've been where you are and all I can suggest STRONGLY is that you seek counseling for yourself and possibly as your safe place to disclose affair and begin healing.

If you are in an abuse situation you will NOT be safe disclosing to your H alone.

Yes, seek help from the sites mentioned, but there is no substitute for REAL LIVE therapy.

When all the dust settles I hope you have a restored YOU. A restored marriage with a safe H would be a bonus.

You are starting to make good choices. It will be hard, but not impossible. Is there any way you can join a women's support group? I am afraid that you will lose your resolve if your husband is always putting you down.

Check the churches in the area and see if there is some kind of boundaries group. Cloud and Townsend wrote a great book on boundaries in marriage. It shows you how to teach your husband what you will and will not tolerate.
